If I'm reading this right Monte broke the record for ISU minutes played two games ago. This says Grayer has the record at 4,398 minutes played and Monte's career stats now show 4446.

It looks like Monte will also pass Ejim and Niang to be the leader in games played, I can't find his starts but maybe Ejim/Niang will still lead there. Thomas will probably be second in games played.

So Monte is going to own at least these records:
Assists
Steals (most likely)
Minutes played
Games played
NCAA games played (Thomas will tie him, but both set record with one game this year)
Games started? (can't find but may be close)

Pretty sure Monte owns the career starts now.

Kind of evens out when you consider Naz rarely played his freshman year.

And it wasn't until the off-season before his sophomore year that Naz turned himself into a 3-point shooter in order to help fill the gap left by Tyrus McGee.

Two immediate questions come to mind:
1. Does ISU hang Monte's jersey?
2. Does Morris sweat enough?

Willoughby came with Floyd from New Orleans. Side note I saw him at a game a couple years ago and he looked like he was still in playing shape.

Didn't he play every single second of the last Big 8 tournament that they won in '96?

The bar for grittiness was set high.

I really enjoyed Thug life, when he was here, but have been less than pleased with him post career. I really hope that we can get Naz that crown. He deserves it. He will be a much better rep for the school anyway, he loves this place and his team and it shows.

Out of any of the recent players, maybe even more so than Georges, I'd love to see him come back to coach. He is the glue that held the team together many times over the last 5 years. Even as a freshman he was a leader that would put his arms around a couple of guys that weren't on the same page. I think we will miss him as much as anyone and more than many realize.

Any way he can take down the career record without topping deadeye's single season record? That would be good with me. DW was always one of my favorite players.

What has Jake done post career? I guess I havn't been paying much attention

I'm confused. I thought Thug Life was Scott Christopherson but the context was Jake Sullivan. Who are you referring to?

Second question: What did this person do?

Fizer, Tinsley, Ejim, Niang, & Morris should all have their jerseys up there.

I know it's not all about recruiting, but there's not a player up there that any recruit was alive to see play. I'm not saying that we should put just any jersey up there, but it's not Mount Rushmore either. No reason to be this stingy with it.

Career minutes
Sullivan: 4,042 (1 three-pointer every 15 minutes)
Mitrou-Long: 2,925 (1 three-pointer every 12.1 minutes)

Career attempts

Sullivan 637 (1 every 6.3 minutes played)
Mitrou-Long: 633 (1 every 4.6 minutes played)

While Naz has played less minutes, he's got the same amount of shots and probably played pretty close to the same number of offensive possessions. (Jake's first 3 years under Larry ISU usually was one of the slower tempo teams in the country. Naz's first 3.5 years ISU was usually one of the fastest teams in the country.)

3 best shooters I've seen: Jake, Dedric, Tyrus.
Best looking shot: Matt
Best clutch shooter: Naz

I don't think we will see Ejims get hung. If someone would have brought hanging his jersey before his senior year people would have laughed. Even his senior year when he won big 12 POY he wasn't the centerpiece to our team.

I think Niang and Monte far and way deserve it more.

I happen to agree. Big fan of Ejim and he got everything out of his ability but I wouldn't hang his jersey for the reasons you've mentioned.

I also think the Tinsley was the best PG I've ever seen at ISU and I wouldn't hang his jersey.

Fizer, Niang, and Monte are 3 that need to be hung.
