Time to mosey on down to the Sprint Center. Look for me on tv. I'll be the handsome guy in the Iowa State shirt.

So my breakfast shakes gave me food poisoning. I was having bad stomach pains and nausea so I came home. Set a record for in the door and puking but now I feel fine. Do I go back to work? Puke and rally?

Was just telling my receptionist I was heading out for a while to watch the basketball game. She goes "Iowa State, right? Do you remember by Royce White?" I'm like, yeah, he's pretty much an ISU legend. Turns out she's his Godmother. Was talking about how she was really trying to push him to stay in school and finish his degree but he wouldn't listen to her.

Anyone want to hear my Windnesday story?

As I was getting my 9 year old ready for school yesterday I noticed a few of my neighbors' trash and recycling cans had blown over at the curb. Since he was ready early I thought I would just stop on the side street and be a good neighbor by setting them back up. I pulled up to a neighbor's house and noted that more neighbor's rolling bins were over than I had originally thought but, "Oh well, might as well do what I can." I got out of the car and set up the first neighbor's 96 gallon trash can and recycling can being careful to put it on the most stable spot I could find. Not much harm there. I went across the street to get the next neighbor and had just started to right the recycling can (the trash was still upright) when a gust that had to be over 50 mph hit and toppled every remaining standing can including the ones I just righted. Those cans not only were toppled but were pushed down the street to the next house's driveway and opened with every imaginable recycling item blasting out of them all over the neighborhood. I realized at that point there was nothing I could do and got back in the car to take my kid to school. All I could think in the car was I sure hope that wind keeps up for a little while and blows that crap the rest of the way out of our neighborhood.

I hope no one was recording my futile exploits.

I know it isn't nearly as entertaining as a CG post...

entertaining read. You tried but the wind was having it's way with that garbage. I was very surprised yesterday that most of the neighbors' trash cans were still standing! The lids had all blown open though. Our newspaper, however, had blown from our driveway to across the road into the ditch. I'm like, how does this work??

Yep. A couple pines fell over, one on the fence so secret service was in hurry to have it fixed. Originally we were going to drag brush through the yard, through the gate out to the road, but there is this little ravine on the other side of the fence, so we threw it all down in there.

Mrs. Ryan was home so we met her.

He's second in line of succession right?

It's a one to two man detail, could be more, that sits outside in running SUVs. Didn't have to have a pat down or anything, just had to be let through the gate by them or her.

Ha, no.
