Last weekend I was at a bar in Omaha and tried a Mule with Makers Mark in it instead of vodka, and bourbon-soaked cherries instead of lime. Still prefer a regular Mule but it was pretty tasty. It probably wouldn't have been as good with bad whiskey though.

1. Crown/Jack & Coke - easy and available everywhere
2. Moscow Mule - trendy but really quite good
3. Whiskey Sour - when I want to be more grown up but without caffeine
4. Caipirinha - see below
5. Irish Cream - good for mixing with hot cocoa or coffee on cold days (tailgating)

Caipirinha is sorta like a Mule, but no copper cup and uses Brasilian sugarcane rum (cachaca) instead of vodka. It also has lime, but coarse raw sugar (cane sugar if possible). Served over ice. The cachaca is pretty strong, and you mix it very strong.
"It warms the cold and cools the heat" or something like that is the phrase.

1) Gin & Tonic (even better with some orange bitters)
2) Paloma
3) Classic Margarita
4) Moscow Mule
5) Tequila Mule

The aforementioned Caiprinha is also excellent.

I could drink only rum and coke, as far as alcohol goes, the rest of my life and not feel like I was missing out on anything. Setting sail with el capitan makes me happy man.

If I had to give you five I'd go:

1.) Rum & Coke
2.) Mojitos
3.) Daquiris
4.) Straight Rumplemintz
5.) Straight Jaegar

2. Vodka/Mountain Dew (gives the least hangover)

Switch the Mountain Dew for Gatorade and the hangover will be nonexistent.

My top 5 would be:

1) White Russian
2) Crown & coke
3) Moscow Mule
4) Bloody Mary
5) Vodka - whatever I have on hand

I've never had a Fireball and OJ. Sounds interesting - going to have to give it a try.
