Difficult to draw comparisons from highlight tapes, but he appears to have a better looking shot and be more athletic than Haliburton, with as good passing skills. I'd take either one based just on the highlights.
Look back further than the Hoiberg era...this is totally incorrect. That said, I think we CURRENTLY have the better program, that will outweigh Illinois having more tradition. This decade is probably the first ever that ISU has been better than Illinois.
I Just wanted to get an updated list of who the Cyclones are still in on for the 2018 recruiting class. Let me know if I am missing anyone or if anyone has eliminated the Cyclones from contention.

Realistically, do we have any kind of a shot with Jaedan Ledee or is he pretty much a UCLA lock? He would be a huge help to this program if we were able to land that kind of talent.
So that one west coast guard (Akinjo, or something like that) is no longer interested then? Wasn't there an article posted earlier that said we were one of his expected visit locations?
I can't find a whole lot on Akinjo. The most recent article I could find about his visits does't list Iowa State, but it also only lists three officials. He doesn't have a huge social media footprint that I can find. That makes it a little harder to find information, but it is also kind of refreshing.
He does have an Official this weekend with UCONN, and i wouldn't be surprised if he commits this weekend.

I don't think they have much of a shot with Ledee. He already has 4 official visits set and none to ISU.
Horton-Tucker feels like a long shot as well. But I think they have a good shot with Griffin.

I think you are right with your assessment. I also think it is nice that the Cyclones keep making these lists. If nothing else, it is good advertising when highly touted recruits associate with the brand.
Griffin is here this weekend. 2 team race with KU from scuttlebutt I've heard/read.
Love Griffins athleticism and upside. He just started playing on the wing too so has lots of time to improve his game. Be a big get for sure. Horton Tucker taking his time with everything, most say MSU but they have 1 scholarship left and a kid out of Indy is about to take that 1 I believe. Who knows, recruitings fluid
I think the reason Griffin will pick ISU is that KU probably has Vick and Garrett who play the 2 and 3 and they are constantly recruiting top SF targets like Wiggins, Jackson, this year Williamson, etc. Where at ISU he has a better chance of starting and starting sooner.
