Bold prediction...If we don't get it next week, and ISU wins their next two, and OSU wins today and their next two, Gameday will be in Ames for the OSU game.

That's a lot of IFs but if it happened, im sure they'd love to play on the 'what happened in 2011 when OSU came to Ames in November' angle.

If and a big if. Where would everyone like it set up? Campanile in the background?

That'd be perfect
on Central Campus w/Campanile and the MU in the background, there would be a whole bunch of crowd space in between the stage and the Campanile. Think what they did for Obama's speech but rotated 90 degrees, or just the same set up even w/ Curtiss or Beardshear in the background.

They could also go in the area south of scheman. A good amount of room there, near the stadium, and what parking exists up there is GA, so they could just close that if needed.

(Bulls play at 7:00 that night in Chicago so he could get back in time)

This gets announced during tonight's game, yes? Around when do they announce - halftime or something?

Regardless, just booked flights to come back for the game. Can't wait!

Zero chance. I could only imagine how hard the Chicago media would kill him if he did that.

I could see it be Niang but there isn't much national appeal there. They did Pitino at Louisville, so maybe Prohm? Not a ton of alumni to pick from.

Niang was really the only one I could think of just because of his personality. Maybe Sage? I don't think Prohm moves the needle.

Neither Sage nor Niang are really nationally known types but Prohm has the advantage of being a current coach who's won and been in March Madness so if I had to guess right now I'd say Prohm. (After they ask Hoiberg first and he declines.)

I think Niang is just as Nationally known as Prohm, if not more.

I don't think this is true but even if it were I think Niang being out the NBA also leans against him being picked. With Prohm they can at least allude to the coming season etc. But I can't think of any other options anyway. Who are ISU's most famous living alumni? Hoiberg gotta be #1.

If it wasn't for his legal trouble, it would be Chris Soules.
