there is 51K sold but a big chunk of those is available on Ticket Master and sites like that. So early indicators are a terrible crowd for Saturday. Also, of those 51k sold, some of those are student tickets and I'm betting they won't show so upper deck in the student section will be empty. We need to show this staff we truly are good fans, so come on Cyclone fans, get there.

This thread is super pessimistic, particularly when it comes to the students. The students are going to show up! I'm more considered that older folks wont show up cause of the cold.

Upper 40's is perfect temp for football, especially when those Texas schools come north.

People underestimate the draw of opening weekend of pheasant season as well as harvest. I know plenty of iSu fans who religiously hunt opening weekend and football has been so bad and hgas disappointed so many times they simply won't alter that tradition.
Good news is moisture was taken out of the forecast so farmers should have a great week of harvest after being handcuffed all fall. Bad news is farmers are behind and the colder weather will freak them out so they won't want to leave the fields

Those "old" folks showed up well for KU, not so much from the students.
It would make sense we wouldnt sell out a game that matters after all of the comments I made about Iowa failing to sellout their stadium when they were undefeated.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I believe we'll have a near sell out. 40s isn't that cold....when did we get so soft with 40s?! I don't make as many games as I'd like, but I'm coming down and a friend is flying in from Dallas.
Have you looked at the amount of tickets available on the ticket site?
We're top 25, and hosting a top 5 team. It will be packed.
