I'll be the Iowa State Jason walking around with purple dripping from my plastic machete! Who knew Jason liked BV and Busch Light?

We've been crowing about how great our fan support is for a bad team over the last decade. This has been a legitimate source of pride. Now it's time to see if our fanbase can support a winning team like it deserves. Put up or shut up time. A lot of ISU fans really set themselves up for a hefty serving of crow from Hawkeye fans for the PSU game attendance **** talking.

Can somebody tell me what capacity actually is? And how much more is it now that the end zone project was completed. I guess with all four hills packed, back in the day, I didn't know what a sellout was then either.

It's early, but I'd be surprised if it was full. The game actually means something would be great to have a good showing

Have we had an actual sell out since the addition, I know it's been close.

Full capacity is 61,500. No reason for it to not sell out but I don't see that happening. Will be a good crowd but should be great.

I would be surprised if the student section isn't near full capacity. I'm just hoping to be able to get in the last few rows of the upper deck.

I know some really crowing type big ISU fans but they very seldom go to games, no matter how big. Like the comfiness of their own living room I guess. I think there are a lot like that in many fan bases. And I don't necessarily think its the price of tickets. I sometimes wonder, if when it comes right down to it, does the ISU fan base really have the numbers of 'active' (as in I go to every game) attendees that we want sometimes? That's not a knock, that's an honest question. I don't know what the data says about fan base numbers or percentages.

Also, I don't think its needs to be categorized as a 'pissing match' about students vs. adults. It's just that I love when a student body is loud and in mass at games. It depresses me every time I go to a game if the students can't fill up those main three sections when they're right on campus and have the student tickets bought up already because I value their contribution to the atmosphere , that's all.

Stressing about losing Campbell? Filling the stadium and making it rock makes a statement to him, the staff and the good players he has brought aboard.

If we can't sell this thing out this weekend, then it should demonstrate without a doubt that we can't have nice things in Ames.

Campbell took this job partially because of the atmosphere for the Toledo game a few years back. We should be able to replicate that again.
