Why do my tweets always end up on message boards? You all realize I'm just a dumb fan that doesn't have a valuable or meaningful opinion, right? Lol

Honestly no, I thought you did know something sometimes, that's why I bought it up. I actually don't even follow you, somebody retweeted it into my timeline. I'm honestly sorry.

Looking more at the crystal balls, I think it is a rush to go from Big 10 to Big 10. There was a bunch of Michigan State picks that have changed to Illinois. From there, snowball effect. At any rate, I'd love to hear something positive coming from our side, but until I hear that we're out, I'm not going to get discouraged. I still think we have the biggest list of positives of any school on his list (and I think Xavier is still a threat).

When something actually leaks, 247 will say x recruit names y school leader and set their interest level to favourite.

It's assumptions with THT.

If you think things are turning south with THT, the staff needs to be back on line 1 with Tyler Harris.

He's had over a month to commit to Memphis and hasn't yet. I think he's waiting on us.
I would like to think that, too, but then if Harris was so interested in us, why didn't he commit a couple months ago when we had four open scholarships?

My guess and only a guess is he was waiting for Memphis to make their move and once they did, he wasn't impressed. The staff moved on to THT and now doesn't have a commitable offer. That could very well change tomorrow night.

Who knows? It's still before the early signing period now, so he may have wanted to take at least a little time to weigh his options (I think he visited here and the Colorado State prior to Haliburton committing). If I'm recalling the timeline correctly, shortly after that, Memphis appeared on the radar, everyone was wondering if we had completely backed off, and then it was reported that we were doing an in-home visit with him. Since then, a little smoke about Memphis but almost nothing else coming out. Almost like he is waiting. I'd be thrilled to have him on board if THT doesn't work out, and that would feel like a second grand prize rather than a consolation prize.

Maybe he was a fallback to the recruits we already got and THT

Just joking about the "me" part of your post. At any rate, my totally imaginary scenario is that we told Harris that we had a big need at THT's position, so we were going to pursue that with our final scholarship, but that if we missed, it would be his to take (and if we got THT, we'd offer again in the spring assuming attrition).

Why wouldn't you let him commit? I'm blaming you if we miss on him too now.

It may have been that the staff would accept one guard commit between Haliburton and Harris, and Haliburton took that spot first.

This is just a wild guess but the coaches may have told Harris to wait until THT decided or the Spring when another spot could potentially open if someone transfers.

More of a timing thing and trying to spread out the class with different positions.

I really think there is a good chance we land Harris if THT is taken off the board.

My guess is Harris will decide between Memphis and us shortly after THT’s decision.

I certainly think Harris and Haliburton could coexist at the 1 and 2 spots, as they both bring different things to the table. And I love our chances with Harris if it's between us and Memphis. Again, he's waiting for something.

C'mon twins, you're better than that. An official visit, with 4 open scholarships, and a highly talented/ ranked recruit, and you're saying he wasn't allowed to commit?

I'm sure he could have committed on the visit but after Haliburton he might be on the wait list. It's obvious he wanted to take another visit besides us and wasn't ready to commit then

Yeah, I think it was possibly an either/or between Haliburton and Harris, and whoever waited was going to be on hold pending THT.

It could have been a timing issue. Maybe we wanted him to commit early. He wanted to wait, and by the time he was ready, we were filling up. Now it's wait and see with THT.
