No Lard or Lewis for exhibition Sunday

Not sure which one of you I talked to at a CapCity game about Lard but we both expressed slight concern about attitude he showed that night. Hopefully it was just a one-off scenario then and this is not related.
so we get to throw out 2 frosh at mizzou in front of 15k for their first game? that sounds promising.
Lewis and Lard showed up late to practice.. settle down everybody
But we can still panic about it, right?

Makes sense, lot of young guys and they'll only get younger as a team next year. Set the bar high from the beginning to head off some long term problems.
I think that is how I would handle such a meeting too:
"It was nice to meet you! So, are you on CycloneFanatic?"
"Yeah..."
"Let's not tell each other our screen names"
"Agreed."
That game is going to be baptism by fire for the younger guys anyway. I don't think an exhibition game against Emporia State would have helped them all that much. It's more important in the long run that Prohm sets the tone early and makes sure everyone knows what is expected of them.
Lazard didn't start the KU game last year for showing up late to practice.
Better to establish expectations like these early and sternly.
I will miss finally seeing them in game action, but Prohm is right on this one.

I think that is how I would handle such a meeting too:

Lol something like that! My identity is not hidden considering the dozens of tickets I've bought and sold on here with fellow Fanatics.
Yeah, but the reason they were late was because they were being interviewed by the FBI, in regards to the college basketball investigation.
No matter how minor the incident is, you always have to set the punishment at more than expected/deserved. If they know they miss an entire game for being late, I bet this is the last time they are late. If it's only sitting 10 mins or a half, they are way more likely to show up late again, especially if the next game is against some no name team over break.
Don’t just panic. Make sweeping conclusions of attitude, commitment, etc. I know I’ve never been late to anything so I have full moral authority on this.
