DM’s greatness does not change the fact the Oline can’t block or be counted on.
We have lost by a combined 17 points so far this season. Just Brutal.
How was it a head scratcher? The defense and ST gave us a chance, but our offense was nearly bad. That was fairly predictable.
I really like what this staff is getting out of these guys though. Despite our fundamental flaws on offense we had a chance.
OH FOR ***** SAKE.
We lost a game. Is it good? No. But it is the end of the world? No.

This offense hasn't done squat for 10 quarters now despite having 2 All Big 12 player.
Kempt and Manning aren't getting it done.

2 All Big 12 players don’t mean much when your Oline and QB have significant flaws.
What do you want Manning to do? The Oline he inherited is weak and he’s playing a QB that can’t make many throws. Kempt has done an admirable job, but he really shortens our playbook

No excuse whatsoever for Kempt keeping the ball on the 1 yd line on a read option. And then you have to go for that on 4th IMO.... you don't know how many more scoring chances you'll have.

Okay Hawk fan here it is, we are 4-2/6-3 with another incredible opportunity next week. OU and TCU still have to play. West Virginia still has to go to KSU and OU. Texas is playing TCU today and still has to play at West Virginia. Okie State still has to come and play us next week. Even with today's loss we are still in very good position to make the Big Twelve playoff. For a second year coach to come in here and put ISU in that position do you know what that is...................that's impossible. But yet here they are, even after today with everything still ahead of them. Fantastic.
Oh, and the Hawks just proved their fans were correct.........Ohio State really isn't any good. That's all we heard after we beat OU, right?
Iowa State fans are not used to success. They’ve handled this last month pretty well.
But these are the same people that predict 8 wins before the season, and then lose their **** when we end up 3-9.
The margin of error for this group is still really thin. We have 3 games left before the bowl. Hopefully we can get them all.
