Gotta go with Noland at this point without even seeing the other two play at the college level yet. I've really liked what I've seen from Noland so far. I'm not sure what is not to like about him really?

Only thing people don't like is his lack of reps to consider his consistency. Otherwise he looks like a starter.

Not to bring up a less than ideal subject, but does any research say if it is easier to tear an ACL in football if you previously had the same injury? Not that we need to justify having a lot of quarterbacks on our roster, we always need the depth. Just wondering if Zeb is at more risk, that's all. And was Moore's injury the same exact thing? Hopefully all will stay healthy and let the competition begin!

ACLs are common but their treatment has come a long ways. It's pretty normal for players to come back now and be nearly as good as new after a proper treatment. I imagine it's more likely to tear again but I'm no doctor.

So how does the record work for those guys and their crystal ball predictions?

Predict Alabama or Boise for 2 months and then switch to ISU the night before signing day and their prediction is correct?

Per some research I have come across in the past, athletes have a 22% chance of tearing either the same or other ACL within 2 years of returning to participation. Yes surgery and rehab has come a long ways but that still is an increased risk compared to someone with no history.

I like him too, just need to clean up his throws though.. some of interceptions could have been avoided, but he still young so he will be better going forward.

Having previously torn an ACL does slightly increase th risk of another tear. But the increase is a small increase, 1-2%. Im not a doctor either but I did stay at a Hokiday Inn Express last night.

Just kidding. I’ve torn an ACL and that’s what I was told by my surgeon.

I get around
Brock Purdy and family 1.JPG Not surprisingly, 247 has Brock Purdy at 100% for ISU. Just a matter of a few hours now. The Purdy family can wear all of that Cyclone gear to the signing that Brock's mother was seen carrying out of the University Bookstore during their official ISU visit!

Also a reason why you almost always see some sort of brace/other protection on the knees of those who have had ACL tears...mainly football. Although I have seen some even on basketball players, usually a sleeve type of brace.
