Watching the game on tv this is going to take a bit of time to adjust to. Looks like they moved the dugout down the lines a decent bit. Also they are bigger.

With this, I'd like to add my annual whining that the mlb.tv package will still not provide live games because of my presence in the Cubs' home market. Blackout live with later replay only.

Just throw away all that potential money, MLB. It's only hundreds of millions of dollars.

Reading where the entire rotation is locked up for at least 3 years and still $15 million to spend before the luxury tax.

In 3 years some key guys will be looking to get paid. Until then it looks like the Cubs will be contenders

I think Darvish has opt-out clauses every year following the 2019 season. However, I doubt a 33 year old pitcher would do that.

The Cubs are VERY well positioned thru 2020. I'd be disappointing to not get another WS by 2020

I think it's going to get worse and more expensive once the Cubs get their own TV deal. I saw on the news that the NFL packages are up significantly despite significant decreases in viewing in the last 3 years.

Oh well, I am not going to be a sheep. Plan on cutting my cable next year when my current "deal" is over. Will keep up with the team via replay..

I don't pay them for games they won't let me watch live. I just go find them with the lessons I've learned here.

You have to believe the Dodgers will win the National League yet again. Who's going to pitch for Darvish in the playoffs anyways? Jon Lester is becoming washed up, and there's no way Morrow makes it the entire year before being shut down. Knowing they weren't going to resign him, the Dodgers wore him down last season/offseason.

Lester is washed up? He doesn’t put a lot of stress on his body mechanics wise, so he’s still got a lot of gas in the tank.
He’ll never be Maddux defensively but the dude is a bulldog.
I’ll give ya Lackey but Lester, no way.

Lester had his worst ERA in 7 years and he's on the wrong side of 30. You could also point to his declining velocity and control.
