Have seen on twitter Tyler Cook will transfer to Mizzou after the season. If he was on the open market and not restricted i would take him at ISU in a heartbeat but that would never happen.

none the less would be a HUGE blow to Iowa if true.

That might be the nail in the coffin for Fran if that ends to being true

Doubtful. He’ll be on the hot seat, but likely get a year or two with his boys before they finally fire him.

Everyone already knows Fran isn’t the answer and is much closer to the end than the beginning. I encourage Cook to leave and help make this a painful, long and drawn out process.

I agree. Even without the buyout, I think he would've gotten next year at least. The buyout thing just highlighted and exacerbated the disaster that this year was. Another year like this one and it's 60/40 that he's gone.

MadFran could be found in his own section of future spreadsheets-- "Coaches who paid $100,000 to players just to get them to stay."

Dikembe Dixon 6-7 200lb forward
from UI-Chicago

17.5 ppg 5.6 rpg and 1.3 apg

Sit 1 play 1

I heard that he’ll get a medical hardship and could be a 2 for 2 or at least a 3 for 2.

Also his cousin that lived with him is now a sophomore at a Juco and they could be looking to play together.

They moved around a lot in high school, but he did get interest/offers from P5s including Iowa St prior to eligibility questions. From Illinois but played play high school ball in Kentucky and WV. Given that, I’m sure Prohm evaluated him in high school. Plus he was a teammate of Ray Kasongo’s brother in high school.

Very informative. If he has immediate eligibility and has 2 years left he’ll be very sought after.

Yep. For us, it would almost be better if he were a sit one/play one. Less competition that way.

What ever happened to Kasongo? I can't find anything about him after transferring out of ISU.

I agree, particularly since P5 guys were already familiar with him. My bet is he’s a 3 for 2 if he gets that year back. I don’t think he’ll be a 2 for 2. A lot of uncertainty it seems.

Who knows what’s true, but I read Bruce Weber offered late in high school, which makes sense as he seems like the typical Weber unheralded recruit that turns out to be a P5 player. A google search has his cousin, Montrell Dixon at a juco in SW Missouri. 6’7” SF. Very Weberish to take a family package deal of two athletic well-traveled 6’7” wings.

Also, that previous Iowa St interest was early under the old staff. That’s consistent with the positionless players they sought. I didn’t come across anything about Prohm and Murray St.

I went to the UIC-Wright St game, so that’s hearsay and what was on the various forums from his high school recruitment. Checkout the Bradley, Kentucky high school, and Tennessee boards.
