KSU was primed to finish strong over 2 mediocre teams and they fell flat. My wildcat buddies are discouraged. Thoughts?

Bracket Matrix has K-State two slots above going to Dayton for the play-in round. If they lose to Baylor on Saturday, they're looking at a game against Texas Tech in KC on Thursday and a loss there could put them on the wrong side of the bubble.

Weber has never struck me as a great coach but I generally root for K-State (pretty much, I want anyone but Baylor to beat KU). I think they have a good team this year; I'd take Wade on my team any day.

Next year is the year for Weber. Brown, Wade, Sneed and Stokes all coming back. He'd better be in the dance with a win or two or he may be in trouble.

Bruce isn't a great coach. I definitely root for KState and Okie State when we aren't playing them because they are so similar to ISU.

The thing about KState bball is that they could do so much better than Bruce. Not hiring Underwood before Okie State and then Illinois got him still baffles me.

Teams are scouting Wade more now that they see everything KSU does goes through him. His tendencies are now being exposed. Still the most improved player in the league.

Oh, so basically like every Bruce Webber KSU team. Just enough to justify the AD keeping him and the purple kitty fans getting mad for hitting their ceiling once again.

Will the Selection Committee pick KSU or OU,,,,or both?
KSU: 20-10, 9-8
OU: 17-12, 7-10.

If OU gets in, my opinion it's because of the popularity and TV draw of T Young; which is BS.

You should know better than this.

Surly only shows up if KSU is ranked highly in some random poll/statistic and/or ISU is toward the bottom.

It's definitely bleed over from football, but **** K-State. After the way we were hosed down in Manhattan in football this year I hope they lose at everything.

It's been my opinion all year that 8-10 Big 12 teams should get in so long as they didn't have severe wreckage in the non-con, which an 8-10 Big 12 wouldn't have. KSU should definitely be in at 9-9. I also don't put a ton of weight into "how you finish" stuff either. When you're in a conference this tough, it's not hard to get on a slide. OU also has a really solid OOC resume which needs to matter. You can't say OOC matters and then weight the back half of the schedule differently.

I think the Big 12 gets 7 (with a very small outside chance of getting 8). The next set of games and the tournament will sort out who gets left out. It would be cool if it worked out just right to get 8 (hard to imagine KSU left out with 9 conference wins). Of course, if we knock out someone because we beat them in the tournament, then I don't care.

Weber's hurdle before the season was upper half finish and a dance card. He'll accomplish that. Remember when we had this discussion before the season and every one of you had K-State 8, 9, 10 in this conference. And most had ISU finishing above.

I want him to succeed. He doesn't cheat. He's a genuinely good guy with a great family. Yes, he has some curious mannerisms, like telling the truth, never sitting, and not getting technicals. But overall, he's a solid dude who we should all hope is successful at some level.

We'll see how it plays out. Many K-State fans want to be Ku without football, which explains a lot of the consternation. It used to be that way before Lon left for Illinois. But many bad choices have left a tough situation today for Weber.
