God, you are so bad at this. Was Cunliffe playing a similar role at Kansas that he did at ASU? No. Will the Lawson's and Moore? Yes. All of their point totals will be down because KU has 10+ guys that are solid players but they will be solid contributors.

The point was that KU adds not only freshmen but experienced players.
12 man rotation?

The league, generally, is taking a serious hit beyond Ku's loses including Carter and Miles at WVU, Evans at TxT, Lecomte at Baylor, and Young at OU. oSu is pretty much wiped out.
WVU & Baylor always seem to figure it out enough to have solid squads.

I basically agree that OU and OSU are in trouble unless they bring in some major transfers.

The funny thing is I really didn't know the answer to that question when I asked it and still don't but the fact that @randomfan44 rated it as funny means it must have been one of their early flame outs in the tourney

2014 was an early round exit but 2009 wasn't. A year after winning the NC and turning over most of their roster, KU lost to 2 seed and eventual runner-up Michigan State in the Sweet 16.

See I didn't even know that. Look I think KU is going to win the Big 12 next year and will be a great team but Tuco is saying some stupid stuff like nobody is going to come within 4 games of them in conference play, going to be in the title game, etc. You guys have some question marks in the back court that can make or break how far you make it

Yes, but KSU returns everyone! If not for KSU's propensity to pee down their leg any time something is expected of them, they might have been the pick to win the Big 12 next year.

No. Frank's teams peed down their leg. Weber's have, generally, met or exceeded expectations. But Barry Brown could leave. And Weber really needs to recruit a juco big.

Frank Martin at KSU: 68.7 win %, 1 Elite 8, 2 Sweet 16's, 1 round of 32 in 5 seasons.

Bruce Weber at KSU: 61.0% win %, 1 Elite 8, 2 round of 32, 1 first round exit in 6 seasons.

If you go win % mixed with post season results i'd say they're comparable.

Let's see if I get this right...KU will start the season with an "astonishing number of losses" where the media proclaims the reign of conference championships over, only to come together during conference play and win the championship again.

Sigh...I've seen this movie way too many times.

It’ll be surprising if KU’s guard play is what you typically see advance far in March. Luckily for them the big dogs like Nova will have some turnover, too. Can you imagine this year’s Nova team against KU’s new backcourt? Like a hot knife through butter.
I'm sure Brunson will go, and others may declare, but they had 0 seniors who saw regular PT this year. They'll be an easy favorite to win it all again next year IMO

Overdramatized on all accounts. I think KU wins the league by 2-3 games and prior to the tourney is seen as one of the two top tier favorites (likely with Nova or Kentucky depending on who those teams lose) similar to how it was "Virginia and Nova and then everyone else" this year. Whether things break our way and we follow that up by actually making the title game is another conversation altogether.

Look, the point was that Kansas has replaced this much talent before so the coaching staff is used to having to work with new people and that this is the first time that they have ever replaced a big chunk of talent with not only an elite recruiting class but also with three experienced players who have combined to start 131 games at big schools in their career. They aren't going to be new to what Self is teaching and they aren't going to be new to the speed of the college game. Heck they spent the last season practicing against a Final Four team; they won't face many opponents who are better than the team they had to practice against every day last season.

You're going to be upset when that doesn't happen.
Michigan State fans told me the same thing about Josh Jackson and Kentucky fans told me the same thing about Andrew Wiggins.

If he was going to Indiana, why wait to announce? They have a scholarship open now and they have no players in competition for minutes waiting to announce their NBA intentions. Same with Vanderbilt. He's been waiting to see what Newman and Vick do.

If he wants to win big and get coached by a Hall of Famer then he'll be at Kansas next year. If he wants to be fawned over by the locals as a hero then he'll go to Indiana. If he wants to goof off with some friends then he'll be at Vanderbilt.

Who will be better than the KU team they faced last year every day? No one in the Big 12. Non-con includes Michigan State, Villanova and whoever we get in the Big 12 SEC challenge. At most three teams all season. So like I said, not many.
