Trust me....I will think that. ALL DAY. EVERY DAY.

Looking forward see how good KU can recruit on a level playing field.
Then you are doomed to be disappointed. There will never be a level playing field. KU, UK, Duke, etc... will always be a Big Boy and will always eat first.

It's 100% cheating, you're leaning on how the broken NCAA system hands out punishment. It's on you if you're really stupid enough to believe the "aw shucks, I had no idea"
No, it is on the ncaa to prove it.

It was proven that Pitino's assistant coach was directly involved with that.

If it is proven that a KU coach was involved or aware then my opinion will change.
Doesn't need to be proven.

I'm sure there is no possible way that any KU coach ever knew about Josh Jackson getting paid (to clearly attend KU/Adidas), Billy Preston's situation, and who was the other, Cliff Alexander?

Money isn't the only thing that KU and it's players get away with.

No, it is on the ncaa to prove it.

Again, it's 100% cheating. The NCAA has to prove it to enforce their punishment, but they're so broken and cowardly we know how that will turn out. Their ignorance doesn't change the fact that KU cheats, a lot.

But I'm sure the defense that these micro managing coaches had no idea hundreds of thousands of dollars were flying around is simple enough to fool people like you. They rely on that ignorance when they set this up and then distance themselves.

No. It's not cheating if your coach or school was unaware and not involved.

You can assume that KU/Self HAD to have known all you want but the ncaa would need to PROVE it to justify punishing them.

Even if they come to the conclusion that KU's staff "didn't know" anything about the payments to De Sousa's family, the NCAA can still ding them for playing an ineligible player.

Go look up the ncaa ruling on the Cam Newton/Auburn case.

Your favorite team cheats. They are a dirty program. Are you proud?
Cheating is knowingly breaking the rules. I have not seen anything that has shown that Kansas has knowingly broken the rules. If that changes then so will my feelings.

If it is proven that DeSousa's family took money and we get dinged for playing a guy we thought was OK to play but who broke the rules withouut KUs knowledge then I will be bummed but I wont think any less of KU for it. I'll just think less of DeSousa's guardian for it.

You don't think they knew? I know they're not going to be able to prove they know but cmon use common sense

Ku has built a firewall between Bill Self and Adidas. Their ~$200 million Adidas contract does not directly link the coach and the company, as Louisville's did with coach Pitino.

So, for this to affect Self and Ku materially, there will have to be a "smoking gun" uncovered. If so, it may come from James Gatto, the lead Adidas official, who is a known "friend of Bill."

Whether the FBI chooses to go there or not, perhaps giving Gatto some relief for turning on Bill, no one knows. But without that direct evidence, I don't see this impacting Ku one twit, other than their foreign player (De Sousa) is probably cut loose, and they may lose some recruit(s) over the stench - Romeo Langford being front and center.

The NCAA will do what they did to North Carolina, exactly nothing. It's the FBI's criminal case that will bring down the sham program - if that case can be made.

This seems appropriate when speaking to KU fans about this.

Yeah, KU had no idea that the apparel company that they rep was paying the #1 recruit in the country that they desperately wanted.

Just a coincidence.
