Not exactly sure.
When I was at the car dealership, this woman came in and bought a car. She decided to add her husbands name to it. I kept messing up and wanting to put Gary or Guy down but unfortunately his actual name was Gay. I never met him but always felt sorry for him.

And they both fell in the Battle of Five Armies, though the movie portrays it a bit differently than the novel. (Admission: I am more than a bit of a purist who prefers the novel).
I didn't mind him throwing in a female character since The Hobbit famously is devoid of any female characters of even minor significance, but what he did to that story was a little bit beyond poetic license.

Good golly. Son has ACT test Saturday morning. So the wonderful AD adds a track meet about three hours away for tomorrow. The assistant track coach is the guiadance counselor. Prom is already that night. Nothing like loading them down.

Got into work for an early meeting only to find out it was cancelled last night...

Update: This morning I thought okay I will either leave a tad earlier today or even earlier tomorrow. Since then It has become apparent that if anything I may be staying later today and someone said hey can you schedule a meeting on this for tomorrow afternoon.

In other news I am also now officially a licensed commercial drone pilot. The easiest certificate I will ever get from the FAA. For real pilots (sorry if that offends anyone but I will never consider someone that sits/stands on the ground playing with a joystick a real pilot) all it takes is an online class and get it signed off.

I told them they can have a half hour instead of the full hour. In all reality I probably would not have left much earlier than that.

I know this is why my bosses didn’t like me at times. I would tell them that it didn’t fit what I was planning and to either work with my time or pick another day. I look back and think about the self confidence/arrogance I had and am surprised I never got fired or reprimanded at times. I think it’s was mostly due to always being left on an island and doing the jobs most didn’t want to come near. I would get calls for random drug tests and I was allowed to schedule my own (thankfully I was probably the cleanest person working there so it worked)

Yep, gotta account for nicknames for sure, and don't forget initials. We thought about a name combination that would have given him the initials DOH. DOH! Dodged a bulled there.

The big trend lately is "creative" spellings. I hate that. Kid is going to be constantly having to correct people on his name spelling because you decided to name them Jenyfer or something equally idiotic.

Tiphanie. Saw it on a medical record. Also saw Crystal Glass. Not sure if birth or married name.

Grandma went by her middle name, which has been mentioned in this thread. Her true first name I've NEVER heard anyone else have. Started with a "W". I had a friend who had a membership to ancestey.com, and I had her look up the 1920 census for the county my grandmother lived in. That side of the family is German, so on the handwritten census, my grandma's given name starts with a "V". (W's are pronounced as V's in German for those unaware) My great-grandparents only spoke German, so I could totally see my grandmother's oldest sister (who would have been 12) translating. BTW, my grandma's sisters were Minnie and Ethel, while her brother was Ralph. I don't see any of those making a big comeback.

As "old" names go...I kinda like Meredith. Although, I don't know how old that can be considered.

Speaking of archaic names, my grandmother and her sisters were named Esther, Otillia and Lydia.

And speaking of unusual names, CWW#2's first name was Gray. People were constantly dyslexically making it Gary on reservations and such which pissed her off.
The youngest daughter has 3 Lydia's in her grade and an Evelyn (Evi with a hard "e" for the pronunciation).

Speaking of Roses, my daughter's teammate Rose Wolf has a little brother named Harry Wolf.

I embarrass DD because she can't say his name around me without me giggling.
We used to have a client named Harry Johnson. He was one of the few clients we would give a house two way radio to. My buddy used to find all manner of excuses to call Harry Johnson on the radio.

My paternal grandmother's middle name was Thusnelda. No, I didn't make it up.....I couldn't make that up. Never heard that one before either.
