I think the potential is there. Just needs to become more efficient.

It's definitely not a fall back, he was in the top tier.
We need a PG with NWB and possibly Wiggi leaving next year.
Also of note, it strengthens our Chicago/Illinois ties.

yeah, i think the biggest thing is the continued Illinois connection. It is also nice to have a roster set in April for the first time in a few years.

Nice pick up for the staff.
Averaged 16 ppg for Larry E, that there is enough to show he has talent to help next years team.
Essentially replaces Long's scholly years and considering the need for one more ball handler/guard scoring option for next year seems like the nice fit.

I'm not real worried about his efficiency. Going from the guy to one of the guys will help quite a bit.

I thought there was a rumor on here that Liddell and Nixon were close somehow?
Not a Cyclone-comparison, but Big 12 comparison: Coming out of HS Nixon was rated as #42 PG in that class. Barry Brown, current K-State PG (and finished 8th in the conference in PPG) was also in that same class and was rated #49. Their stat lines last year are pretty comparable as well:
