I'm pretty sure that with our second child my wife told the hospital to get the epidural ready before she told the hospital that she was having contractions.

I had done a meeting with a doula just to check it out and they had a pain management scale type thing - basically to see where you fell on it. 1 out of a 10 was "I want an epidural before I get to the hospital." Sounds like that's where your wife would fall!

If this was about BC or Pants or somebody like that, I'd have probably made a comment about the "something small" being what he's giving you, but since DH seems like a nice upstanding young man I won't say that. Also, since I'm now 50 years old I suppose that I should start acting more mature.

I debated the wording on that post because I knew I was leaving the door open there.

Totally depends on the person running the class. Our birth class we took with the first was run by a nurse who was very much into a natural birth as much as you can handle it. Nope, give me all the drugs. I think the part that I was not prepared for was the pushing. Like sore the next day going, "what the heck did I do?" Oh yeah, physical activity for hours on end . . .

At first I thought you meant sore from the birth class and I was like yikes, that sounds intense! It sounds like there are several different instructors at this location so yeah, I have no idea what type will be running ours.

During baby class you'll learn how to breath correctly. The most important thing DH will learn is how to count to four.
What they won't teach DH is about that incredibly uncomfortable chair they will make him sit in for hours during labor while you have that big comfy bed all to yourself. It is practically criminal!

My apologies to their fans, but I always thought KISS was about the most no-talent band that ever lived. It was all presentation - their songs were unbelievably terrible.

/end rant
I'm not arguing with you and I'm also not a fan. You are totally correct but in small doses (one or two songs at at time) I find their music to be a fun little guilty pleasure. At least before they took off the makeup and tried to pretend like they were a real band.

Also, where else can you find genius lyrics such as:
She's a dancer. A romancer.
I'm a Capricorn and she's a Cancer.

If you have not already take a tour if anything just to get acquainted with what will happen and what the rooms are like.

They have you schedule the tour separately, doing that in about a month. They do have a virtual video that I made DH watch but then we spent most of the time trying to google the narrator lady because her accent was some kind of weird Minnesota/Eastern European and we wanted to find out where she was from.

Our bank transistioned to an entirely new system of I think pretty much everything this past weekend and it went live this morning at 8. I was able to log into our bank account but MrsWx is unable to get into her business account and the phone line has been busy all day. Needless to say I think this roll out went swimmingly.

Update. Online banking is now down and phones are still busy.

And if a woman gets hungry, there's a whole team of servants that will bring her what she wants to eat while she doesn't have to leave the comfort of the big comfy bed. When I got hungry I had to go out in the hall, walk a third of the way across the floor and into the pantry to get the little ice cream cup out of the refrigerator in the pantry.

Yea, they have a couple of cool songs but most of their stuff is forgettable. The stage show is what people always talked about. I never saw them because I never thought they were worth my time or money.

The first time I saw KISS was on Don Kirshner's rock concert or something else on TV. I said the most memorable thing about them was that they could jump around in those platform shoes as well as they did.

Depends on what's going on in the birthing. I didn't have a big breakfast before going in to be induced. I didn't eat for almost 24hrs because they wouldn't let me. I don't remember if it was due to the chemicals or just you shouldn't eat during labor....

I know once I could eat they got me food right away. MaryGreely has good food. Husband got to eat too.

The difference is that you got to eat breakfast in your big comfy bed. @CycloneErik had to eat while sitting in something like this.

Birthing is a weird word.

I think the ice chips and clear liquids is a thing for pretty much all deliveries. Not sure why though. Maybe if you do have to go into surgery, even in the midst of a traditional deliver, you are already prepped and ready to go.
