What a gutsy win. That's what playoff basketball is all about.

It blows my mind how many college fans write off the NBA while watching some really bad college hoops, if you don't enjoy a game like this you just don't like the sport of basketball.

Way up there
Probably the best game of Chris Paul's career, I can't stand the guy but he was focused and in control the 4th quarter. I'm not sure I've seen GS go off the rails like last night, just horrible possessions the last few minutes. Very un Golden State.

Gutsy is a great word for it.

And that stretch by Gerald Green in the 3rd quarter was hilarious. He made his first three and then chucked 3 terrible ones. He was all over the place on defense though.

Also, it’s crazy how Houston played half the game with PJ Tucker as their “5” man. At what point does the game stop getting smaller and smaller?

When the league gets a massive influx of bigs with diverse skills and the lateral quickness to defend the perimeter, I guess. We're calling that kind of a player a unicorn right now, so I guess it might be awhile.

Durant had a couple horrendous shots down the stretch

He did. And his decision to pass to Thompson in the corner on their last possession was baffling. I could understand if it was the right play to make; Thompson is a great shooter. But he didn't have an open look and he wasn't a threat to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim.

I think you still need some muscle down low for sure (Tucker is a tank), but there's definitely some potential gain in trading some height/length if it gets you more speed and athleticism. Obviously players like Anthony Davis or LeBron who have off the charts measurables in all (strength/length/speed/athleticism) aren't growing on trees.

I’m a big fan of the Morris twins as players. Very tough defensively, can get their own shot on offense.

Edit: Kind of dooshbags though. :)

Also, the officiating in the NBA is better than the NCAA by leaps and bounds which makes it better to watch, too.

NBAers are definitely elite basketball players, but there are a lot of things not to like about the NBA style of basketball.

Jayson Tatum’s mom is a high-powered lawyer in the St. Louis area and Jaylen Brown’s mom has her PhD. Jeez. Talented families.

I’Il be more interested in the championship if the Celtics are in it. Their toughness and defense should be a fun matchup against the Rockets or Warriors.

I saw a piece on Tatum's mom during the NCAA tournament, very impressive person and story.

I'm easily going for the East winner regardless, but I really jumped on the Celtics bandwagon early because of Nader and how incredible they started the year. Also I spend a boatload of time commuting and I like their radio guys better than most.
