This isn't a complaint against ISU or smokers. Just a comment. With all the talk about no smoking at the tailgating and no smoking on state property was anyone else surprised that they allowed all the smoking on the east side of the concession stands?

I think it's fine that the smokers get their usual spot to smoke and non-smokers know to avoid it. I was just really surprised they are letting it slide.

They need to stop the people that are smoking as they leave the stadium after the game, it is horrible walking behind/beside them on your way to your car. Just wait 5 more min till you get to the car.

I still find myself a bit astounded that someone cannot go three or four hours without a cigarette. If that's the case, you've got a problem.

I have a friend who caught cancer leaving the stadium behind a smoker. I think Chemo starts today for him.

technically, along the road is the only place you are allowed to smoke. No one is breaking the law, there. One thing I noticed was that the smoking ban was pretty much universally ignored. You couldn't really turn around without seeing people "violating" the law. So be it.

You edited your post before I could be a smart-*** about it...

QTF doesn't stand for "quoted for truth" - it stands for "quick typo fingers..."

Yes, you see: I am terribly slow, but just fast enough to review my mistakes before others can give me a hard time...

Yeah, where's that can-o-worms pic.

Couldn't find it, so I drew this up really quick...

There actually ARE people who are cancer victims or who have other health problems (emphysema, etc.) who are affected by secondhand smoke. (One could argue that they should probably not be going to an outdoor game with a weakened immune system, but that's another personal decision.)

I'm pretty torn on this whole thing - as a non-smoker who HATES smoke, it's pretty easy for me to be annoyed by those who do. However - these smokers (the ones outside the stadium) are on the streets, abiding by the law. I can just take another route around them.
