Ok, I'll definitely need to email the rec leagues about that then! Because even though I haven't been here long, I'm starting to feel lonely, and I think it's less the lack of human contact, and more the stress/fear that I will remain friendless here (which would be a shame because if I met a girl who wanted to stay here & it was good for my career after a few days I could potentially see myself here for my career)

Also, rec leagues/friends would allow me to meet girls who I could then seduce with my sensuous bagpiping.

Also also (but unrelated): now that I've graduated I now have a desire to watch the local news. I feel like that's a sign that I'm old.

A way to troll for work, and be able to talk to the Sr. partners about what's going on locally.

For the first time in several months I was in LifeTime to work out and big silcone bewb hooker/stripper gal was not there "working" out.

I go in on random days and random times three or four times a week and she is there every single time doing super slow treadmill or super slow stair climber or super light weights. It's just weird. Wears leopard print stuff. Also has poofed up '80's big hair. Also kinda weird.

Have you been here since CG announced her pregnancy? Some bicycle and softball talk. Rabbuk's GF is pretty smart and got accepted at John Hopkins for some type of masters in education(maybe? something like that).

Most all towns/cities now days have some type of young professionals group, a chance for networking and socializing. Is there something offered thru the Bar Assoc.? (your kind of bar not the tavern type;)) How large of town did you end up in? If you have a sport that you play try getting on a league at the Y or bar league. You could always start up a bagpipe club:).
Sent you a PM of where I am. If anyone else wants to know, just let me know and I can share that too. I really should join my county bar association and the local pipe band, but I'll need to see about the young professionals, they may be a bit too much of try-hards haha.

Just fake being a normal human as best you can and you'll be fine. I'm really torn on whether the sensuous bagpiping is supposed to be an innuendo. Wait til you've convinced them you're a mostly normal human before breaking that out. The being a lawyer thing will help. It's like petting the non-cat toy on the first visit. Do it too early and that's just weird and now you're weird and they do the slow fade on you. Do it six months in and it's quirky and a story they tell forever.

Also, I feel like I just read the male version of a CG post.
Nah, not an innuendo, more a joke considering how unsexy the bagpipe actually is haha. And I'll take the bolded as a complement

So is she looking for clientele? That could explain the hours.

My 8 year old daughter just commented on a video about "orangutan orphanages". She thinks it is sad they are needed. A little pongid compassion never hurts, now does it @ImJustKCClone ?
Nope. And they are sadly necessary. I hope she doesn't see the images of the mothers. So many of them are severely burned in the deforestation efforts...

Kinda wondering what the rest of the summer will bring, what with the stifling heat already, and quite a few stormy days and nights. It seems weather has become more extreme in a the last dozen years or so.....the transitions between seasons get to be abrupt, and when was the last time anybody can remember getting an all-day soaking rain? I fear we've changed the atmosphere with all our technology, and don't appear to be any too eager to reverse it.

Okay, I'm stopping now before this gets moved to the Cave. ;)

Petting the non-cat toy on first visit? Thought that was around the third date. You sconies are freer spirits and faster moving than where I am from!

I State decorative rock for 115. Yay or nay?

I got a "decorative I State rock" at the football awards banquet my freshman year at ISU. It's definitely the weirdest sports award I've ever received. "Hard Rock Award, 1991, harimad" I should take a photo of it, should be good for a giggle or two.

Guess what I’m getting for Father’s Day?

On a semi related note, our main water heater is leaking water.
Our neighbor just had to replace his. Evidently, they've changed the code on the PVC venting pipe (the old stuff had some sort of semi-flammable something inside of it). It was going to cost thousands of dollars to do it to code so he just hired some independent dude to install it using the existing vent pipe.

OO! Oooo! I know this one! Join rec sports :) It is volleyball season right now - there's probably 5 bars in your area doing a summer sand league. Ask the youngish coworkers (if you have any) at your office.

1. stories to entertain us
2. to make fwiends
