With that roster, they don't need a Mason or Graham. We'll see how the guard play ends up. Don't think they'll have a Mason or Graham on this years squad.

Yes, there comes a point where numbers outweigh talent and that seems to be the upcoming case at Ku. Self, without FBI meddling, will have 6 months to meld this group into another conference champion. If his 5* freshmen are what they're purported to be, and there's no reason to think not, Ku will dominate, and the race will again be for the Big12's esteemed silver trophy. With that roster, they don't need a Mason or Graham.
Yeah, whens the last time a big-heavy team won an NCAA title? With that roster, they don't need a Mason or Graham.

What do mean by a "big-heavy team"? A deep team? Let's see, when was the last time a team won the national title with 6 different players scoring an average of at least double figures? It was just months ago when Nova won the 2018 title.Yeah, whens the last time a big-heavy team won an NCAA title?
Anthony Davis' Kentucky team? KU has a nice roster but it's a guards game come tourney time, and there ain't nobody near AD level on that squad.
They could make another Final 4 run though.

Lol stop it Fran
Likely starters to open the season are Moore, Grimes, Vick, Lawson & Azubuike
So that leaves a bench of:
Fr PG Devon Dotson
So SG Marcus Garrett
Rs. Jr SF KJ Lawson
So PF Silvio De Sousa
Fr C David McCormack
That's two McDonald's All American freshmen, two top 35 sophomores and a Top 50 4 star transfer who averaged 12 and 8 at Memphis in his last year there. Yes, that's a Top 25 starting lineup, easily.
KU has a very good roster for next year, no question. What do mean by a "big-heavy team"? A deep team? Let's see, when was the last time a team won the national title with 6 different players scoring an average of at least double figures? It was just months ago when Nova won the 2018 title.
Oh, K-State most definitely does not match up on talent/potential but certainly does from a toughness/experience stand point.K-State will match up well on the starting five. Today, I'd say the talent is even. But who knows until they play? After that though, it's clearly Ku's advantage.
6'2" F PG - Dotson v. 6'4" So Chartier Diarra
6'5" F SG - Grimes v. 6'3" S Barry Brown
6'5" S G - Vick v. 6'5" J Xavier Sneed
6'9" J PF - D. Lawson v. 6'10" S Dean Wade
7'0" S C - Udoka v. 6'9" J Mak Mawien
I don't want to make this a K-State topic but I do disagree. Both Brown and Wade will be first team going into the season. Dean will be preseason POY. Sneed showed v. UK that he's ready to play with anyone. Doke has a clear advantage down low. I don't know about PG.Oh, K-State most definitely does not match up on talent/potential but certainly does from a toughness/experience stand point.
KU is more talented than K-State and I don't think it's really that debateable.I don't want to make this a K-State topic but I do disagree. .... We will see how well Self "takes care" of his players.....
Right, but unless I am mistaken there is nobody on the KU roster with the versatility of a Justin Jackson.North Carolina.

Dedric Lawson?
