I've had almost no time to do any research. Right now my minimum criteria consists of:

1. 75" or larger
2. No more than $3k

Most likely I'm looking at > 80"

Any videophile's here?

If you find somewhere selling a >75" OLED for <$3k you should buy as many as your bank account will allow.

Some people gotta over compensate for other small things.

I don’t even have a 60” tv.
That's why I have a 18" TV

Do not get a Samsung. I bought a Samsung Smart TV in Jan and I've had all kind of issues with wireless and soundbar connections. In getting on the chatroom on their website this is a common problem. Wireless won't stay connected and soundbar will not connect when certain apps are used (such as Spotify) Very frustrating.

On the other hand the 4K picture is fantastic.

Counterpoint: Do buy a Samsung, I've had a ks8000 model for 2 years and love everything about it.

Now you don't know what to do!

Mine is several years old, but haven’t had any of those problems.

For serious I'd check out rtings.com , they seem to be very non-biased and give great reviews about how TVs perform for different tasks (movies, tv, gaming, etc.).

One thing I would say is do not automatically write off an "off" brand. For instance, TCL and Hisense both have some really outstanding performers.

Hisense has made all Sharp branded TVs in North America for several years.

PS: I currently have a 39" Panasonic (8 years old), 46" Vizio (7 years old, and a 50" Samsung (4 years old) all of which have been flawless. Also have a Hisense Roku TV in a room that doesn't get used much.

The only flat-screen I've had a problem with was Sony. Had one that was DOA out of the box and one that only lasted three years. Probably just bad luck, as I'm generally a fan of Sony.

Same here. I have 2 Samsung smart tv's and never had a problem with Wireless or Soundbar. We stream a lot of stuff from the upstairs computer directly to the basement TV as well.
