Just watched a video on Facebook of the “Cyclone Loop” and the guy taking the video showed a Cy in like a black Batman suit and the cyclone logo on Cy’s chest is interesting. I don’t know how “official” these Cy statues are or even if they are associated with the university or athletic department- here is a screenshot I took-

This is just one of many Cy statues around Ames. My wife and I brought our kids up to Ames a few years ago and went around town to all of the statues and got pictures with them all. They have one dressed as Superman, a doctor, looking like a disco ball. Very cool, but have nothing to do with any new uniform design![]()

Exactly.Those are just for looks. I believe you can't have colored visors in college, just NFL.
