Big difference is, Hoiberg was going to the Pros; Campbell is still at the college level. If you are recruiting kids to ISU and they think maybe you won't be there, its one thing. It's another if you think, well if he wants me and goes to OSU, maybe I will get to follow. No downside possibly.

Didn't a couple of players follow him to ISU?

Meyer has a huge ego and thinks he is better than anyone else so I doubt it will be easy to make him go away. If OSU tries to fire and not pay his full buyout, I would bet money that he takes it to court.

My bad... I forgot we are all supposed to act like chicken littles around here.

My god I miss those

Everyone is getting wound up about the discussion of Campbell leaving, but I'd bet there's at least a 40% chance he's Ohio State's coach for the 2019 season.

I think most of us expected him to end up there if he had success, we just didn't see Urban Meyer getting fired in disgrace prematurely.

Campbell will be here this year, and he'll be straightforward with JP about his intentions, and I think they'll work together to find us the best possible replacement. I trust he'll do things the right way, but if Ohio State wants him, he's going to take that job. We all expected it someday. Someday just came sooner than expected. ISU fan hood is occasional bursts of joy followed by getting your knees cut out from under you. If you can't handle that, bail out now. It's not going to change, ever, so accept it and enjoy the good without getting too concerned about the bad.

Not exactly sure.
IF Campbell is gone after the season, I think Pollard looks no further than Toledo OH again.

I think it really depends on how many leave with Campbell. I could see the whole staff basically moving again. Pay is probably better, try to hold as many as possible. I think what grinds most is we thought this could happen but figured at least five years here. Hopefully Campbell wants the security we provide and stays.

It's gonna be ok, Al.

That’s why he’d go after candle.

That brings up an interesting point. I suspect that Ohio State might not react too well to a coach bringing in a bunch of young assistants from Iowa state.

Hate to say it but if that did happen Matt will bring in who he wants.

Man, lot of OSU fans looking bad on their message boards. Trashing the victim as a liar and crazy and saying people are being unfair to Meyer and that the reporters have it out for Meyer.
