Notre Dame is open October 20th. Get the dormers in here for a barn burner.

I don’t see how anyone can be upset about not moving things up today - pretty much all weather forecasts said we should be fine for the game.

I do think there is reason to be upset with not having an automatic move to tomorrow - why can’t that be the agreement ahead of time by all parties (both schools, vendors, media, etc) - no matter what the contingency plan is move the game to Sunday at 11 AM?
The forecast for tomorrow is basically chance of thunderstorms all day.

Pollard in front of the media.

100% not playing tomorrow. This was agreed upon between the teams. They'll have their eyes open for other teams to play throughout the year, but no guarantees. SDSU still gets paid. Akron probably not playing tomorrow at Nebraska because, per Pollard, "There are no hotels in Lincoln". Players serving a suspension will have this game count as their suspension served.

Edit:
To add more about playing tomorrow, neither coaches were real excited about throwing off next week's game prep in order to play the game tomorrow. Plus the forecast still looks bad.

I agree with Jamie No hotels in Lincoln....so they will just bus back to Omaha and stay the nite and play tomorrow morning at 1030 am

There really needs to be an uprising about this on who makes these calls.

There's no a way one game in the same region should be rescheduled and one just wiped out.

If this was JP's decision he'd better face the heat.

JP basically put it on the coaches, that they didn't want to. Hard to say how close to reality that is. Plus he did mention the fact that the forecast for tomorrow looks terrible.

Dude - you and a few others are doing nothing but perpetuate the stupid, trite, stale and ignorant cliche of "poor ISU put on your nut-cup" crap. If you think our season is ruined because of a rain delay/cancellation in the first day of the season then you have no idea exactly WHO CMC is and what this program will achieve.

Be part of the change on culture for the positive...

So you think it's usual for a team to get cancelled on a season where the oddsmakers are calling for them to win 6 games? Do you know of another school that has had this happen after a dreary history, while Nebraska gets Xmas two days in a row?

This was a crucial game for a program still being built and it sets them back.

People keep suggesting the Bergstrom. I don't think the Bergstrom is a full football field. And the ceiling is shorter at one end so you couldn't punt.

Good luck trying to find a team that matches up with having 10/20 off unless you can get an FCS team that is looking for a pay day. Can teams legally play 13 regular season games?

This is the same as losing to a 1-AA team from a bowl eligibility perspective.

And yes, I know we should be better than to worry about going 5-6, but...

-- Vegas said our O/U was 6.5, now it is 5.5
-- Have you seen our schedule?
-- HAVE YOU SEEN OUR SCHEDULE?

This is not the start we needed. We needed that auto W.
Yes I’ve seen our schedule. We are better than Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Akron, and Texas Tech easily. We also can beat WVU and Iowa and Texas didn’t look good. It’s really not that daunting. It would be a daunting schedule if this was 2014 and Paul Rhoads was still here.
