I’m not saying it can’t be but I’d like to at least think positively for a few reasons.

1. They chose to be Cyclones so it looks bad to hate on them.

2. I’d hate to be that guy bashing them and look dumb when this thread is bumped back up after they all contribute nicely.

3. I really don’t know enough about them to have a negative opinion so I’m going to be optimistic at least.

1. Obviously I'm happy they chose to be Cyclones. I love guys that choose to come here despite being from a long way away.

2. We're all going to look dumb one way or another eventually. I'd love for them all to be all-conference players.

3. I don't know a thing about them other than their ranking and what we all know about them at this point. The simple fact of the matter is that it is that the hit rate for 200+ ranked players in the Big 12 is extremely low. Time will prove how good Prohm's eye for underrated guys is and how good his development chops are. The fact is we haven't seen it much to this point due to the roster he took over.

I agree with all of this. I would guess he'll get a second look by all of the scouts, since ISU is taking him and they'll be wondering what they missed. I would guess he'll get a bump.

If by hit rate you means All-Conference players, sure. But there are plenty of guys in that range that become solid contributors.

Why not consider his entire body of work? What coach has more PGs in the pros?

Wigginton will be going pro, mark it down. So if Tandy still wants to come, Prohm will take him IMO.

I’ve read the whole thread. I have yet to see anyone either hating or bashing on them.
That’s good to hear. I haven’t read every post but I wasn’t saying there are people doing that. I was just giving reasons why I personally won’t say it could be a McCaffery type class.

The last time I voiced my concern over a recruit was with Dustin Hogues recruitment. I met him the day he committed at a tailgate. I said to my buddy that he didn't look that impressive. I look over my shoulder every day now because if you insult Dustin Hogue in a dream you better wake up and apologize.

You are going to wake up with Dustin Hogue sitting in a rocking chair at the foot of your bed in the moonlight, shirtless with an American flag draped over his shoulders, smoking a cigarette, and patting a shotgun on his knee, just waiting for you.

It's not that uncommon for newspaper writers (think old school) to use the word "known" when talking commits.

I just thought it was interesting because I heard Randy on CWs radio show a couple weeks ago say he uses that pharse when he knows of a kid that is wanting to delay his announcement.
