Why was Campbell so mad?

I was re-watching the game and after we scored that touchdown to end the half, Campbell met Meeker and Good-Jones at seemingly midfield and proceeded to absolutely chew some tail. Anyone know what that was about?

I also would be interested in knowing the answer to this. I am assuming they did something unsportsmanlike or of that nature given how pissed off he was. I've never seen him that furious.

That'd be my guess, too. Maybe they got caught up in some after-the-play stuff or something that would have resulted in a penalty if a ref had caught it.

On the extra point JGJ didn't even move and the defender got into the backfield and almost blocked the extra point. Absolutely no effort to block at all.

I hadn't made the connection the ass chewing was right after that, but I do remember an extra point where a defender essentially walked through the line and damn near blocked the kick.

Seemed like the ire was directed to JGJ, as he didnt block in the middle, and looked to just kneel down during the PAT. That was my thought after watching it a couple times.....

CMC kind of did one of these with Purdy too...think he wanted BP to hit a WR screen more in stride or quicker after OSU jumped it.

He did, but not in tone. Purdy made a good play, but he clearly missed something and CMC was pointing out what happened. One of those, "hey, listen, there was this huge thing you missed, but keep at it you're doing great out there" type of deals.

Noticed that too. Figured he either saw something borderline unsportsmanlike or someone took a play off.

I wasn't able to watch the game and now checking out some highlights on that replay. When was the "non-targeting" on Purdy? I'd like to see how it looked

Yeah, it didn't look like a chewing, just knowing that it may have had better results with whatever CMC was looking for out of it.

Agree, it was Good-Jones (LG), looks like he just fell forward with little effort, and two guys got past him.

(Go to about 1:08:25)

--> I hadn't noticed what happened live, I only saw the a**-chewing by Campbell.

I recommend starting at 1:07:40 to see that ******* throw and catch first.
