I might be wrong, but pretty sure head official Reggie Smith has not had one of our games yet this season. I'm hoping it stays that way, and maybe that has been on purpose after the debacle in Manhattan last year.

The boos would start before opening kickoff and last all game if that joker was officiating the KSU vs ISU game. Of all the bs the Clones have put up with over the years, that was the worst.

Snyder was already going to be out at the end of the year. KSU wouldn't grant Sean the head coaching job so the entire staff are lame ducks. KU firing Beaty and talking about Seth Litrell moved the time line up, although it seems that Snyder has been done for awhile. They just didn't want Maryland and KU to take one of their candidates because they feel they are the better job of those three schools. Durkin is in play here as well.

I think he did the OK State game.

I think this is a good article that represents a portion of the Purple Kansas fanbase and also shows the bubble that we get in when we are close to a program.

His knock on kNU and Frost seems kind of humorous when his own team is 3-6 and has looked as bad or worse the kNU for most of this year.

I think the bottom line is that KSU is not a good team this year and is not well coached. In addition, Snyder has been making really head scratching comments for the past 12 months that call out individual players and creates tensions among the team and coaches. They also lack any momentum on the recruiting trail. I know he is responsible for that programs success but at some point, if your failing, you have to fire the man at the top. It's just like when a company's founder is voted out. Its not easy but its what you have to do.

Yeah, I like to think it's more than a coincidence that he hasn't done our games yet this season. Hoping the Big 12 office realized how bad last year was, and maybe Pollard/Campbell made some behind the scenes pitches to keep Reggie & Crew away from us.

But now that I'm saying it, I'm sure we'll see him for either UT or KSU....

Just checked the other box scores. Apparently Reggie did our TCU game? I vaguely remember complaining when I saw him on the TV.

I actually thought the crew during TT game was real solid. Mike Defee was the head ref. I don't recall any blatant errors made against either team, and we might have actually lucked out with 1 or 2 roughing the passer penalties on Purdy.

We haven't had him yet, or at least in the games i've been able to see (only one I missed was TCU). That man should be banned from officiating any level of football

Of all of the crap that has gotten ISU apology letters, it stuns me that the Big 12 never said a peep about the end of that game. What really made me mad is that they didn't even bother to review a couple of those plays that were clearly called correctly and then they picked up the flags. Not sure what was the deal, but it sure looked like Reggie had money of the Wildcats. By the end of the game the other officials were scared to even call the holding and off sides penalties that aided the KSU comeback.

But he was not the head official, which is what gave him the power to screw ISU multiple times.

In addition, Snyder has been making really head scratching comments for the past 12 months that call out individual players and creates tensions among the team and coaches.

Here is an article from Saturday about this very issue:

But Snyder didn’t blame the team as a whole, or special teams as a unit or himself as the head coach. Those are his usual answers. No, Snyder blamed junior receiver and return specialist Isaiah Zuber. Zuber committed the first special teams miscue of the game when he muffed a punt that set up a touchdown for TCU. It was a touchdown Snyder believes won the contest for the Horned Frogs.

It came roughly 90 seconds into the game. Yes, 90 seconds into the game.

“It wasn’t special teams as much as it was an individual,” Snyder said. “You take away the turnover that gave them the winning touchdown, and we’re talking about a different thing right now.”

It was stunning. Bill Snyder just blamed an entire loss on one player who made a mistake in the first 90 seconds of the game. That’s why they lost. Period.

I do want Iowa to hire Brian otoh. Because these father-son transitions always turn out so well.

Yup.
