Campbell stays it wont matter where kids are from...they will be talented.

Sucks to be a Hawk and have an old, out-of-touch coach, that no other program or NFL franchise wants anymore. At least their AD didn't give him a huge contract extension though... Not to worry though - If I know Fran McCaffrey he will turn those frowns upside down in Iowa City ; )

Even though this probably only effects 2 or 3 homegrown lineman every year, I'll take 'em.

TOE's bigger fear should be butts in the seats and reduction in program support as Matt Campbell continues to build a winner in Ames.

IMO Fant is soft so not surprising the ground and pound Hawkeyes use other guys as blockers in run situations. If I'm a head coach I hit Fant on every play whether it is a LB/Safety in press coverage when he flexes out or a DE if he lines up next to the tackle.

It makes no sense for Fant to do a Bosa because TE's don't have the same value to NFL teams as a D-lineman. Even if Fant is considered an elite TE by NFL scouts he is at best a late first round selection. Quitting on his team during season doesn't send a good message to NFL GM's.

I think what happens is Fant doesn't play in Iowa's Bowl game. I don't think NFL GM's would fault him for not playing in the Motor City, SF Perdue Chicken or Pinstrip Bowl.
