People know the committee members change, right? Where is the "no love for the Big 12" coming from?

No, it won’t. OU avenging their only loss to a higher ranked, blue blood will not get OU jumped.

That's how it should be, yes, but is that how it will really be if tOSU beats NW by 50 and OU beats Texas by 3? I wouldn't hold your breath.

IMO, OU is the much more dangerous team for someone like Alabama to face because of Murray. Murray completely changes the game with his arm and his LEGS. Haskins from tOSU is not as much of a dual threat at all.

Oklahoma is barely above tOSU today. After next week, if both teams win, no matter what the scores, no matter what the stats, tOSU is in.

You really think tOSU will jump OU if they struggle to beat NW and OU destroys Texas. Even the CFP committee won't do something that stupid.

The committee just gave the Big 12 a ton of love. OU over OSU. 40% of the Big 12 ranked vs 29% of the Big 10.

Yet has Penn State and Michigan overrated, which will make it nice and convenient to sell the "well Ohio State has better wins" tale when they also knock down UT farther if they lose next week..

I will concede that those circumstances would make it awfully tough for the CFP, but I still have faith in their abilities. Not to mention the other powers that be.

Army scored 21 points. Offensive juggernaut.

On 7 drives that weren’t clock kills to end a half. This is also including OT.

They averaged 48 Yards per Drive and 3 points per Drive- both outstanding.

Two turnovers, one punt, and an OT Drive where a penalty got their triple option behind the sticks is their only non-scores of those 7 drives. Their points per drive equates to 36 points in a typical 12 Drive Big12 game. Their yardage would equate to 576 total yards.

Tempo isn’t good or bad defense- it just makes total yardage or total points misleading when comparing games with wildly different drive counts.

Also... an interesting question on bowl selection:

If OU wins:

If it makes texas drops below WVU in the final standings (which would be dumb but that's how it could go), who goes to the sugar bowl?

The big 12 site isnt clear on this, and different conferences have done different things with their contract bowls.

Is it the #2 team in the big 12 standings, or is it the #2 team in the CFP rankings?

No team has ever made the CFP with a 29 point rout by a .500 team. Ohio State had a great game against Michigan but it is just one game. And Ohio State had lots of poor games to go along with being routed by Purdue. Nearly being beaten by Maryland the week before in OT by one point does not help them either. And giving up 51 points.
