NBA drafts on potential...this team is still young and learning the game.

If it were next season and everyone's back, the expectations would be higher.

Right now just finish in the top half of the conference and get in the tourney. Anything more is gravy.
We’re not that young. We have three 5th year seniors, a redshirt junior, a true junior, and a redshirt sophomore. There aren’t many teams in the conference that have as many guys with starting experience. This isn’t the 90’s. Having two freshmen in your rotation isn’t young anymore.

Stanz asked for our player of the game. I didn't select any of his options. It may not be a popular opinion but I choose Talen. I was worried about there being enough ball to go around with Wigginton coming back and particularly worried about THT meshing with him. Talen showed what a great team player is and just how high of a BB IQ he has. He understood that with Jacobsen and Shayok being on a roll and last year's leading scorer returning they needed something different from him. He showed he was prepared to step up by dishing out 5 assists in the first half and doing all of the little things that don't show up in the box score. He can be the scorer when needed, but is willing to do whatever the team needs. I love his game even more tonight than when he was dominating the Illini game.

Pretty crazy he has the Murray State guy that high and there is no way I would take Reddish that high.

Does anyone know if Morant was being recruited by Prohm at Murray? He seems to fit like Canaan and Payne did, Morant looks to be the best of the bunch.

I haven't seen anything from Reddish that would cause me to take him in the lottery. Guy just floats around the outside and jacks 3s.

I think he's having a hard time fitting in with Zion and Barrett being the focal points of the offense. Tough adjustment for a guy who's probably used to being the first, second, and third option on offense.

I do think that the rankings are a little crazy. The only thing I can think of for the Haliburton/Wigginton juxtaposition is while Wiggy is a better player Haliburton is a better fit for the position he will be asked to play in the League.

Lindell at #74 and Cook at #69 is laughable. Tyrese at #28 is beyond insane. He clearly has talent but to say he is a 1st round pick right now shows how incompetent this guy is. Honestly his whole list makes little sense.

I would take Tyrese over Lindell and Cook. Lindell and Cook both have significant issues and are much older than Tyrese.

Tyrese looks like a future pro to me.

I love Tyrese - but until I see him take over a game like Lindell has done in his 2 years at ISU, I would select LW every day of the week and twice on Sundays. This isn't to say that TH won't end up being better at some point, however. I also would take LW and TH over Cook. Cook is strong - can dunk, rebound and get shots over taller players. BUT, he is not a consistently good passer & cannot make routine mid-range shots. Those qualities separate a player like Niang from someone like Cook.
