I actually wonder what they are going to do to Jamie once Bran tells everyone that Jamie was the one who pushed him out the window? I wonder if Bran will actually tell everyone thinking that Jamie is an asset for the future war to come?

I've long thought the Night King will be on the throne.

"If you think this story has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention."

I've also read people saying Bran is the Night King. So I'm not sure if that supports my theory or not.

I haven't ruled out something crazy like Ned Stark still being alive. Or Stannis.

Pretty sure he is dead, as you saw his head on a stick. Now, what would be interesting, is if the night king made his way to kings landing, and rose the dead there, bringing Ned back to life as a white walker.

The theory I read on this is... Bran goes back in time to see the Children of the Forest during their ritual and wargs into a nearby human and starts yelling at them to stop. The Children tie him to the tree and turn him into the Night King. Bran is now stuck in this vision.

Jon comes up on Bran while he's in that flashback, kills him with Longclaw and the Night King crumbles dead like the other White Walkers do when Jon slays them. This kills all of the dead and saves the humans.

Well the video I saw was trying to say Ned Stark is the Faceless Man, Jaqen. And put Ned'face on a fall-guy who got beheaded. And explains why Jaqen was so nice to Arya

I don't really believe it either, but it is kinda interesting nonetheless.

Way up there
There has to be some sort of Bran vs Jon situation. No way both of them live. I don't see any male Starks left in the end. I think Jon dies before his true identity is revealed.

Have also seen some different places that will take bets on who rules the throne at the end of the season
  • Daenerys Targaryen (2:1)
  • Jon Snow (2:1)
  • Bran Stark (3.5:1)
  • The Night King (10:1)
  • Tyrion Lannister (12.5:1)
  • Cersei Lannister (15:1)
  • Jaime Lannister (15:1)
  • Sansa Stark (25:1)
  • Arya Stark (40:1)
  • Euron Greyjoy (50:1)
  • Varys (75:1)
  • Gendry (75:1)
  • Samwell Tarly (75:1)
For my money, I'd take The Night King at 10:1 and maybe even throw out a flier on on Gendry.
Will you give me Podrick at 100 to 1?

I've always been on the fence about the Bran = Night King theory, but I could definitely see that playing out in the show. It's got the shock of Brans vision and him becoming the NK, has the "tough decision" of Jon having to kill Bran, the sadness of Bran telling him it's okay, etc. etc.

If we're being honest, Bran is the whole reason the White Walkers were able to break down the wall in the first place. Him being nosy and trying to sift through visions by himself caused the 3 Eyed Raven to Die, the Children to die, Summer and Hodor to die, and allowed the white walkers to get through the wall.

RIP Hodor :( I SWEAR TO GOD IF HE COMES BACK AS A WHITE I WILL SCREAM

Speaking of Hodor's death then add that to Shireen's death, what do you think is the third "OMG!" moment the series will have?

I hope to God Dany is naked in several more scenes.

Sadly, Emilia Clarke is already on record as telling the show she will do no more gratuitous nude scenes. Only if the story requires it. Even her nudity in the Jon Snow love scene was minimal.

Unless GRRM is a giagantic ego maniac and wrote this whole series to see a figure of himself on the throne, Sam is out.

But not Baby Sam. Born under the red star, the 100th son of Craster (the other 99 are white walkers). Sam, the “adoptive” father has a Valyrian steel sword.

I sense an Empire Strikes Back-Type of ending, where Sam, Baby Sam and maybe Varys and maybe Theon (sure, why not) flee to Essos after the Night King straight up destroys Kings Landing, and the audience is left to create their own narrative of how Azor Ahai reborn (baby Sam) defeats the Night King.

I think that Jon ends up ruling somehow and Dany doesn't make it. I think the endgame for Westeros is to go through a transformation into a democratic society. They hinted at this directly with the discussion between Tyrion and Dany, but also more subtly with how the Nightwatch operate. I think that Jon is given the Iron Throne due to his lineage but he refuses it wanting an elected leader. They end up electing him any way (similar to how he's reluctantly elected leader of the Nightwatch). He then turns down ruling as king in a George Washington-style move.

To answer your question, I think it has to be Jon. The story is about him (and his dad) for the most part. Jon or the Night King but I don't think he'll take over in the end.

My guess is Jon will be named to the Iron Throne once everyone knows he is the rightful heir. Each of the seven kingdoms (or nine provinces + the Wall) will then become their own territories and have their own ruler but will be unified on the same "team" with Jon as the de facto "leader" but he'll be hands off unless necessary.

Obviously if they die they're out but this is my guess:

Crownlands: Jon and Dany
Iron Islands: Yara or Theon Greyjoy
North: Bran
Reach: Samwell and Gilly
Riverlands: Jaime and Brienne
Stormlands: Gendry and Arya
Vale: Sansa and Robin
Westerlands: Tyrion
Dorne: Ellaria if she lives otherwise Varys or Davos?
The Wall: Tormund

Jon kills Night King. Theon kills Euron. Jaime or Tyrion kill Cersei. A lot of lives lost along the way such as the Mountain (to the Hound in CLEGANE BOWL), Beric (to save Jon), maybe Greyworm (to save Dany/Missandei), maybe Melisandre (Jon or Davos for murdering Shireen), maybe Jorah (to save Dany), Podrick (to save Brienne), Qyburn (evil).

I can go along with a lot of this except for Bran being the heir to Winterfell. As the Three Eyed Raven he has a role that more transcends being heir to the North. Therefore it will be either Rickon (assuming he wasn't "offed" behind the scenes and is instead still hidden away with the Manderlys and/or Skagos) or it will be Sansa sans Robin. I don't see Sansa and Robin at all - in fact, I see Sansa and Tyrion long before I see Sansa and Robin.

You may want to watch Battle of the Bastards again...

I think Jon "dies" but is revived by Beric (killing Beric) otherwise why is he still around?

Beric Dondarrion can't revive Jon - he's not a priest of R'hllor. Thoros of Myr was the priest that was resurrecting Dondarrion. I hate to get into a "but in the books" because at this point there's little relevancy, especially what I'm going to say, but it's pretty common knowledge that Thoros ended up killing himself resurrecting Catelyn Stark. Obviously this hasn't played out in the TV series (and likely won't), and Thoros' status is a little uncertain since Arya and The Hound left their Company. If anything it will either be Thoros (if he's still around) or Melisandre that resurrects Jon in your scenario.

I forgot all about that. We'll get there in a few days. Doesn't change my opinion that Bran will not be warden of the North nor does it change my opinion that Sansa does not end up with Robin.
