I would not say they choked, but certainly played very sloppily at times.

Lindell is struggling to get his legs under him again. When he does, we are going to be a much better team.

THT is struggling to find his role and I understand he's also been sick. I'm glad CSP is leaving him in and letting him play through it and find his way. I think it's a good coaching move.

I still feel like when it all comes together, this will be a very good team a month from now and into March.

People need to pump the brakes on this team. There will be a lot of up's/down's this year but this team is a 7 or 8 in the NCAA tourney. We are relying heavily on freshmen and that is going to cause some bumps throughout the season.

Teams that have won championships at ISU have had: upperclassman & toughness

We lack toughness right now and that shows up on the rebounding category.
We aren’t really relying on freshmen. We have three 5th year seniors, a 4th year junior, a true junior, and three sophomores. We have more experience and starts on the roster than nearly anyone. Blaming ups/downs on freshmen is silly given Haliburton has been very consistent (up) and steady. THT is a wallflower since Maui, and we have experienced, quality replacements. Our ups/downs are due to the program being rooted in the offense first culture going back a long ways.

Who wouldn't have signed up for 2-1 to start out conference play at the end of December?

I would not have. I would have signed up for 3-0 which we should be if we took care of business. I think we have the talent to make a big 12 regular season run. We can't crap the bed like we did last night. Someone needs to become a leader and hold everyone accountable.

I would have taken 2-1 in a heartbeat when we started out with two road games, one in a place we never win and Kansas at home

We always matchup well with Kansas, especially in Hilton and with Azubuke out there is a reason we were favored.

Okie St has the least amount of talent and fan support in the leauge so championship teams win those games.

Baylor lost in front of a capacity crowd of parents and cheerleaders to Stephen F Austin and Texas Southern, so I dont know why expecting this group of players to get out of Wacko with a win was such an afterthought.

Interesting. There are already two people that wouldn't have signed up with 2-1 through 3 games. More than I thought honestly

Those same 2 would find something to complain about if we went undefeated though. It's one loss early in the conference season, it's not the end of the world.

Never thought this team was going to win a big 12 regular season championship and I hadn't seen those expectations from anyone else either. But I think it is certainly possible if the continue to get better. One loss to Baylor on the road doesn't change anything.

Jacobsen, by himself, is not good enough vs bigger stronger post. He was ok against KUs Lawson, but he's not a big guy.
Is Lard? Last year we had issues while playing both Young and Lard. Clark went for 16 and 15 against us in Ames.

Any post is liable to struggle against guys like Clark. Good thing there are not many of those guys.

Rebounding and FTs tends to be an area in which Baylor kills us in Waco. Life on the road for non-KU teams

40% of our starters are freshmen. Ups/Downs are going to happen with freshmen
