Thoros didn't die (yet) in the books. Beric Dondarrion gave his light to resurrect Catelyn Stark (via Thoros).
I think Beric will have a similar end game in the tv show. He will give his light to resurrect Jon (via Melisandre since Thoros is RIP).

You gotta cut some out for the sake of time with a TV show. Wish they would've gone more her storyline route rather than the Dornish one they went with, but my guess is they wouldn't have done Arianne justice if they tried to squeeze her in anyways
Yeah, I get that. The whole Dornish story wasn't great in the show. I just wonder how much of a part she's going to play in the books.

This is part of my gripe between the show and the books. How will the endings differ? So Arianne for instance must not have a big part in Winds of Winter, or A Dream of Spring? Or is the ending to the show going to be wildly different than the books? Maybe it doesn't even matter if it's just the Westeros peeps versus the undead. Characters can be pretty interchangeable then.

Arianne is more connected to the Aegon/Jon Con storyline in the books, which was also cut from the show. I'm wondering if he takes the throne from Cercei and is taking over Cercei's war vs Dany in the show. Arianne can be offed/captured in the books like Ellaria before Aegon fights Cercei.

So, so very sad I cant watch these right now. It's killing me.

From the statues in the clip, does this mean that the Knight King is a Stark?

There are theories out there that the Night King is a Stark ancestor, possibly being the first Nightwatch commander who was a Stark, or another theory is that he's Bran Stark. I thought it was interesting Bran wasn't in this clip or had a statue.

Bran dies because he's ultimately been the Night King and just didn't know it. Also would make sense since he's not even in this latest trailer...hmmm....

Also, regarding that newest trailer that dropped last night...

The three statues of the three Stark children, to me, show different ages. Jon looks very old. Sansa looks the same age, Arya looks older. That tells me Sansa is toast this year and that Jon and Arya live.

People online have said the opposite with Sansa and Arya, so who knows there. Arya's death has been foreshadowed a few times in the books.

Here's what I posted earlier about this.

The theory I read on this is... Bran goes back in time to see the Children of the Forest during their ritual and wargs into a nearby human and starts yelling at them to stop. The Children tie him to the tree and turn him into the Night King. Bran is now stuck in this vision.

Jon comes up on Bran while he's in that flashback, kills him with Longclaw and the Night King crumbles dead like the other White Walkers do when Jon slays them. This kills all of the dead and saves the humans.

Not sure. Maybe. But in the books Nymeria plays a massive part which I'm still holding out for. Arya sends the direwolf away but the wolf builds an army of wolves and comes back to her when she needs it, I am guessing in this Great War. As JRRM said, 'you don't hang a giant wolf pack on the wall with no intention of using it.'

That being said, HBO has been veering away from the books so maybe Nymeria is just gone for good. I hope not.

I'd bet good money we see Nymeria again
