You're playing the top-whatever rated defensive team on their floor and leave that floor at halftime with an 8 point lead while committing zero turnovers.

Yes, you did good.

Particularly when it wasn't the result of hitting a lot of wild shots. We found the openings in the defense repeatedly, and if we had been hot, it would have been a much bigger lead.

I agree with much of that, but I really liked what I saw out of THT last night. Almost all of his points were going to the rim, and he should pass up some of those open shots if there is a driving lane to the rim. He's not a great shooter at this point, but he is very creative around the rim.

That's why I tried to limit my criticism to the half-court. He's so comfortable in the open floor on the fast break. In the half court, it seems like he bounces from hesitant to trying to heat himself up with a deep three. One play that comes to mind was with probably 5 or so minutes left he had a great baseline drive and he just kind of flipped it up with one hand from about 5 feet. Looked afraid to commit a charge. I think he's just in his own head a little bit.

It's a strange case because he's a big wide dude with a finesse game. Once he learns to use his strength when necessary and finesse when necessary, he will be tough to stop.

The first 3-4 games we saw him in the post some and that's been abandoned. I'd like to see them give that another look with his size and finishing ability.

Probably already been said a bunch of times, but I'm encouraged at how Conditt has been getting in the game. He doesn't look out of place out there, which is great to see out a true freshman big man. He was really hustling last night. I'm excited to think about how good he's going to be in a year or two.

Won the game, but did not shoot well to get it done. LW is still struggling to make shots that he was making last year. Not very good at the FT line, unless you compared to what TT did. Yikes! Really needed to find a way to win this game and they did.

I like THT handling the inbound pass against the press. He's really comfortable and can often pass over the first line of the defense.

He's such a threat to change / block shots and his defensive position has really improved from the start of the season.

Best played game of the year.

There is a case to be made for the blowouts against San Diego Stat and Eastern Illinois. We really crushed those teams, but I know beating up on minor conference teams and even some mid-major teams is not really all that impressive.

I think the KU win (of +17) at home and this game are pretty equal.

Great win but damn we need to fix our free throw shooting woes and terrible in-bounds execution.
FT defense was top notch though.

We played well, yet with plenty of room for improvement. Culver had a pretty average game for them. Beard is doing a great job. KSU is more talented, and maybe even Baylor with Clark.

Not that this matters bc it doesn’t..but ISU has beaten (30) top 25 teams in past 7.5 years...I’m gonna go out on a limb and say there aren’t more than 10 other programs that have done that..

Carry on..

To go on the road and beat a team is good as Tech in a legit way is better. Tech didn't play bad, ISU was just better. Where as I felt in the KU game, while ISU played well, KU played horribly, ISU got hot from 3 in the second half and it was at Hilton. I thought the only that ISU did poorly was inbound the ball.

This could not be more accurate. Our inbound plays are just absolutely brutal. Not only are they slow to develop, but they never work and we always just have to have someone get open in space just to get the ball in.

I thought Jacobson played his best game in conference. Played tough.
Wigginton's best game since being back. Even though some shots didn't go down he did lots of other things well and didn't force much. I thought 2-3 of his drives he looked like he got fouled and it wasn't called.
Shayok was great.
Conditt played good minutes again.
Horton Tucker did a great job on the boards.

Oh and Culver is freaking good.
Like that Edwards kid that ISU recruited as well.
