Someone who knows more fundamentals than me:

What does Cam need to fix to defend without fouling? Is it footwork? If he stays in the game effectively KU doesn’t get 20 easy drives to the hoop in second half.

Gonna guess footwork. Get a step behind and then you're using more arms. He's gotten better but Self had a nice plan to get him in trouble right away.

That game stings. A couple guys had bad games.
Our team didn’t fold in a really tough environment. That’s not a moral victory, Kansas is good, we are good. We’ve done what they did to us many times over the years to other teams at Hilton.

Got another good opponent this weekend, looking forward to it.

People acting as if Wigginton was the difference that lost the game... no it was Jacobson with no presence in the paint..
You post a lot of dumb ****. Jake and Lard like everybody else struggled against Lawson. No surprise, but I think calling out a guy with a double double as THE reason for the loss is pretty stupid.
Lawson is clearly KUs strength. Their guards are not that good and erratic. Inability of the guards to stay in front of Garrett was the biggest factor.

Try Talley(a guy who gave solid minutes last year) or Lewis(who's did so in spurts this year). Wigginton was a mess all around yet we just kept playing him.

No one else on the roster can do the things Lindell can physically.

Without looking, I’m sure you were on the Wigginton needs to start train

Did Wigginton's TO hurt? Of course. Thought he was a little too unselfish there - should have attacked the rim first, and then he could have kicked it out. But, FTs are what ultimately cost us the game. Even considering the run they went on (which I figured they would - usually in the Phog they have 2 or 3 runs), the poor FT shooting killed us! Too bad Shayok and Hali didn't shoot all our FTs tonight!

Beat up all the players you want - remember they are being defending by a bunch of AAs. Lots of great plays both ways.

Simple difference was FTs. They made em, we didn't. I think we got the FT line more than they did in AFH, let that sink in. Lot easier said than done obviously but shoot our league leading % and we win by half dozen. I don't know what else you need to look for.

Did anyone else notice KU (Dotson) was given two shot double bonus on Lindell's foul with 14 seconds left? Thing was that was only our 9th foul of the second half. Dotson missed the first free throw too. Another free throw screw up in the Phog.

Never mind. I mis-counted in the box score. It was the 10th.

really could of used Solo in a game to bang down low with Lawson. He was just on fire tonight. You can't expect to win at KU when you give their star 30 pts. And by give I mean he just didn't miss.

He closes the space out to the shooter...when it's a guard he doesn't need to beat them off the floor...let them go and swat it when they put it up.

The guards tonight left Lard in horrible spots. He doesn't get many blocks as the primary defender but he had to be tonight because the guard was on the free throw line while the ball was on the block. How you get beaten that badly switching everything on the floor is actually impressive.

this game didn't hurt us. Losing to KSU in that manner still makes me mad. There is a reason I smacked the table and knocked freaking Hot Chocolate a foot in the air..
