I don't blame people for trying to sit along the glass. You can see the game and still have the comfort of being inside. Anyone with half-a-brain could see that would be a highly contested spot. I know some people who sit towards the top of the outdoor SEZ seating. He told me the people sitting in those seats routinely would yell at him to sit down when he'd stand during the game, for which he had a few choice words back. If you want to run up there and claim a seat I get it, but expecting others to cater to you is ridiculous.

There won't be perches. The rail and the chairs are going away.

Good point. But they will still probably try to claim their spots. If the other furniture isn't nailed down, they will pull it over by the window. Or bring in their own little chairs, probably attached to a scooter for which they will have a letter from a doctor. Once folks like this get a taste of what they like, it is going to be hard to get it away from them.

Then just put in one big arse screen in. If the jackwads are acting up, drop the big screen which comes down in front of them and project the game on the screen. So the roles are reversed. The people behind the glass lickers will be upset that they can't see the game on the screen because they are now licking the screen.

Goes to show you who the high and mighty alcoholics are. I assume there are no ISU security officers or police personnel present to help curtail this? Or is the club above this type of jurisdiction?

Yep, would expect their first actions would be to pull the tables and chairs over to the windows, making their own private booth.

Note to Pollard...bolt those mf'rs to the floor. Works for the tables...chairs are likely going to need a bouncer to reinforce the "no perch zone."

Seems like it could have been taken care of more easily and privately by threatening to withhold the season tickets of the offending parties, as they clearly know who they are (and probably have video evidence).

As soon as somebody got injured by one of these douche canoes they should have kicked them out of the club forever. This doesn’t even go far enough imo.

Jamie seems to like to fire off emails/letters that over-explain an issue. At least he is responsive.

Will the change actually solve the issues? People will still stand/sit? there and be douchebags. Should ban the people doing this from games, think that would do better than this. They maybe are doing that already, who knows

Then rather than working against the people causing a problem, why not use the opportunity to our advantage? Create open, tiered level seating along the glass with beverage tables. Then, charge a bit more on the donation side for them! I know there can be many design limitations though. I am sure that many options were looked at and were ruled out for one reason or another.

Some people still haven't figured out that the world doesn't revolve around them. We sat next to a few of our "bad" fans at the Alamo Bowl. Pretty much ruins your experience.
We sat with Lyndsey (WBB) and Brett (FB) Medders' parents at the Alamo bowl. I was at the other end of our row of seats so I didn't get the chance to talk to them.

I'll admit I've "claimed" a spot next to the window before but I sure didn't expect people outside sitting in their own real seats to accommodate me because I chose to not use my real seats.
I don't really like getting rid of the window bar but I'm guessing this was happening more than we think. It's not fair for people using their actual seats in the top row or 2 to be harassed during the game.
People suck.

To hell with those who want the "best damn fans in the land" to sit while their beloved Cyclones are kicking ass on the field. If you don't want people standing in front of you, pony up the $$$ to get front row seats or stay home & watch it on TV.

They would probably yell at the players to sit down if they did that.
