Did anyone else notice the odd exchange between Wiggs and THT when Wiggs got subbed out at the end? When Wiggs was walking along the bench after being subbed out, he shook hands with all but THT. THT gave a WTF look, then extended his hand a second time when Wiggs came back around. Wiggs obliged, somewhat reluctantly. Seemed odd.

Reading to much into it.

Wigginton 18/5/2, 7-10 FG off the bench.

ISU 26-10 in assists. ISU 35-28 rebounds.

Ole Miss 15-17 from line ISU 3-4, but it didn't matter.

Only one ISU player did not shoot .500 or better from the field: Talley (0-1).

Only 17 is actually low. He could be OUr best pure scorer since maybe Stinson or Jr year Fizer.

Shayok could have surpassed his avg easily. Prohm probably saw an opportunity to let others play.

While there has been some frustrating basketball along the way, it is amazing that the Cyclones are 3-1 over the last 4 w/two wins on the road against ranked teams.

The Clones resume looks stout and the rest of the schedule looks really favorable. Hopefully, this last 4 game stretch will put us on the road to the Des Moines-to-KC-to-Minneapolis path in the NCAA Tournament.

Is that just a commercial flight requirement? If so, let's get the charter flight going for all our games...

It's not even a commercial flight requirement. My daughter lost her ID in San Antonio and was able to use other means to prove identity (credit cards, school id and sign an affidavit) so she could fly back to LA.

I thought he was playing fine. How many turnovers did he have? Seemed like almost everyone had one that was thrown into the crowd.
Plenty to TO's to go around, although Shayok seems to have a knack for them. That and missing 2-3 layups each game. But he certainly has a consistent scoring effort each game, and that's good enough for me to keep him in the starting lineup :)

Great win, Cyclones!

The numbers on this game are amazing:
  • 69% shooting from the field
  • 53% from 3
  • 34-28 RB edge
  • 26 assists on 38 made baskets
  • 46 pts in the paint
  • 28 pts off the bench
  • Held OM to 36% total FG
All that more then makes up for the 19 TOs.

Overall, a really nice, NCAA-resume building win.

Basketball is about making shots; do that with high efficiency and a team an afford TOs and giving up rebounds.
