I think we all agree we've gotten really frustrated last month watching them play. What on earth possesses some jerk to do something like this though, If it was a season ticket holder then please by all means stop spending your money and stay home and do that crap. Unreal timing for one, terrible thing to do especially on SD.

Can't disagree with this...I'm just saying that it's not like FH was always just throwing out crazy sets for automatic points or that his were always working or not stagnant.

In general ISU simply spends too much time dribbling and would be an easy team to defend and even a remotely basic offense of some sort where there's more than a bad pick out front would at least make the defense have to react.

Have scoring points really been the problem?

I would say yes. Bad shot selection and 4-5 minute scoring droughts will doom most teams unless you are elite defensively. When your primary lineup is 4 guards and a 6 foot 8 undersized 5 that plays below the rim then you better not play at the tempo we do and you better not go 4-5 possession without a point.

Disagree. Good for him. It takes a man to step up and admit you sucked at a moment in your life, and admit you were wrong. He could of easily just sat back and waited for it to go away. We've all been thinking exactly what he said.

You're giving him more credit for his apology than I am. Apologize to Prohm and the team personally and I'll give him some credit. Semi-anonymously on a call-in show doesn't cut it.

If he was really sincere, he could have waited outside the locker room (with the people wanting autographs) and apologize to Prohms face instead of calling into a local tv show that sucks.

You're giving him more credit for why he would apologize than I am.

I’m not sure why’d he call in to apologize if he wasn’t sorry since no one knew who he was.

But he needs to examine why he’s so angry at something that he supposedly does for fun. Clearly Iowa state basketball is not fun for him. He shouldn’t come back.

Also, I could hear him clear as day across the arena. He shouted that crap and wanted prohm and the players to hear him.

My initial post didn't quite express my thought clearly, which is why I expanded it. I don't doubt he has some guilt about it, but to me if he was truly sorry and wanted to own up to it, he'd apologize to Prohm and the team like I added. And even his call-in apology is partly ********. Like you said, he shouted it and meant for Prohm to hear; to come back and try to walk it back by saying he didn't think his voice would carry is such BS.

Not necessarily overall as they score plenty but I don't have a ton of confidence in ISU getting a bucket when they need it which comes down to needing to be functional and aware of the situation.

I think they announced it before the game was over. Can't remember if it was at the under 3 TO or later. Maybe they need to announce it sooner.
Might help if we had an audio system where you could actually understand the PA guy, sounds like he has marbles in his mouth. I can clearly understand all the advertisements but whenever the PA guy says something, it is garbled mess of nothing. Reminds me of Charlie Brown's teacher.

It takes a man to apologize somewhat anonymously on tv.

Better than nothing, I guess. For all we know he has or is planning to reach out to the ISU athletic department privately to apologize. Either way, time to let it go. Someone did something stupid and disrespectful, Prohm had his guys' backs, and that's the end of it. If it has a galvanizing effect for the team then so much the better.

I really don't care about it or if he apologizes. This was my first comment on it. Calling into a show possibly using a fake name/location doesn't make you a man.

Mine too. I wasn't speaking to you directly when I said it was time to let it go, just more using your post as a reference point.

If he’s truly sorry, he would email Coach Prohm directly and apologize. He may have done this, but calling into Soundoff doesn’t move the needle for me.
