Lots of guys stepped up tonight but Jacobson was my MVP.

NWB played REALLY tough and maybe not enough being said about it. Guy played hard and took it to the basket not leaving anything to chance. Played tough D all game and made FTs.

Maybe Shayok's shot will get all the glory but I think NWB may have been the MVP. Great play by the seniors.

Nick has been nothing but class since he transferred to ISU. Didn't get a lot of PT his sophomore year but was very useful off the bench. Had injury problems his junior year. He's had some hiccups this year but his effort and attitude are always there. I just think he's been a great Cyclone.

When we are at our best, Nick is just all of the place. He's hustling for loose balls, making open shots, driving to the basket, and rebounding. He got away from that during the streak. I don't think because of effort but because he consistently plays hurt.

Apples and oranges. KU was up 10 and we stopped playing D. Tonight we were up 4 and KSU hadn't let up.

Total team win. That momentum change in the last two and a half minutes was one of the biggest gut checks in recent memory.

On Tyrese's no call and 1...there's a reason that is called 99% of the time with even less contact and it's because players can get hurt if they start letting it go.

I do love these posts too.

But they irritate me because we weren't playing in a vacuum. Kansas State is a good team. They got us out of things at times. If we had lost tonight, it wouldn't have been some 'back to ****' moment for this team. It would have been a team that played a great first half. A not great second half. But they played hard all night long.
