I have lived in Nebraska most my life including the last 12 years and most of the fan base is one 8 win season away from thinking they will win the Big 10 and challenge for the title. I guess you missed the ‘Frost Warning’ shirts this last preseason. I heard 9 win a from multiple people at work alone up to the Colorado game. The delusion is just lying dormant.
9 wins for Nebraska football is very doable for them next year. Honestly don’t find that delusional at all. Plus their schedule isnt very strong next year.

Left us high and dry? He left us in way better shape than what he was given.

Of course he did.

But he essentially stopped recruiting after Matt/Monte. And he left in June rather than March or April like most other coaches.

This is still a very stupid terrible horrendously bad take

Chizik had a better departure? That's just plain stupid right there.
Firmly entrenched is better than the **** Hoiberg was telling recruits for nearly a year. Leaving soon after the end of the season vs leaving two months after.

He left plenty of talent. Maybe he did stop recruiting, but I don’t think his assistants just stopped recruiting as well like you think. (Would have helped if Clayton Custer and Rashad Vaughn panned out as well) Sometimes coaches and their assistants just miss on some classes.

He didn't stop recruiting but he basically hamstrung himself because he couldn't promise he would be at ISU and with all the rumors of him leaving for the NBA recruits were hesitant to commit.

100/100 coaches changing jobs would be happy walking into prohms "problem"

Fred will always be a Cyclone legend but KILL THIS THREAD!!! Why do we have 11 pages talking about Fred Hoiberg? Worrying about his life decisions and speculating what we think is right and wrong, what could've been and should've been blah blah blah....it's sad.....I don't know weather to laugh or cry, move on people. We just won a Big 12 championship and have a favorable draw in the NCAA's.The tournament is upon us with tons of other things to talk about and celebrate and here a lot of you are........fanatically worrying about the accomplishments and choices of another man.

I suppose I will get aggressive reactionary responses..........

You aren't going to get a much better exit at non blue blood than Hoiberg in terms of leaving a team set for 2 years of NCAA tournament when they leave. Let's say he signed Diallo before he left, do you think he sticks around for Prohm? No. Or any other recruit for that matter? Prohm wasn't going to get an great recruits if he got to ISU a little earlier either. So that year for recruiting was lost no matter what.

Good day folks....when you are done come on over to the" Aaron craft must be destroyed thread" or perhaps try the "parking in Tulsa thread" for people that need info after making the trip to support the current Cyclone coach and team.

Aaron craft isn't playing for Ohio State anymore. Why is he still being discussed?
