I know I’ll probably get some thumbs down (and hopefully some dumbs, haven’t gotten one of those yet) and I don’t think I’ve ever said too much negative about Prohm but god I’d trade Prohm in a heartbeat to get Fred back. I love that guy. Hasn’t been as much fun since he left.

Fred left because things were about to get ugly because he had quit recruiting to focus on getting his "dream job" with the Bulls. It worked he banked 25 million in 4 yrs. Now he has a chance to get probably another 10-25 million for another 3-5 yrs of work. Great job if you can get it. I think he likes ISU but he likes the Benjamins more.

Fred could go 16-16 for 15 years at Iowa State and people would still want him as a coach.

Keep dreaming that your wishes of him coaching at Iowa State will come true. Won't happen and shouldn't happen.

Prohm also isn't going to dump what he has established here to leave for Alabama.

I hate people.

Speed bag style?
Over hand knock out style. Of course it would be easier to land that shot square if I put him on his ass with a hook first. Either way, Fred going to the bug eaters and Prohm leaving for Bama would be too much for me in one week.

I don't think Steve leaves. Although this winter from hell would make anybody think about it.

It would be a shame if he did and it's a shame it's happening now because I don't want anything to distract the guys.

1. I think its silly to suggest that the job at Alabama is a step down.
  • Yes, they have not had as much on court success as ISU but
  • SEC>B12 in basketball
  • Alabama has more money and resources than ISU ... means more money for him and his assistants
2. It is closer to his home and his coaching roots. That allure is real.
3. He resets his coaching clock ... he's now got at minimum another 3 or 4 years. Not that he was close to getting fired in Ames.
4. As for TJ ... I believe ISU is his dream coaching job. He wouldn't leave Ames for any school in Wisconsin. His wife is played at Ames. They loved the city and school during his tenure here. Madison and Milwaukee do not hold a candle to what Ames offers him.

Why would he need his career clock reset? I am curious as to why you would mention that, and then add the qualifier.

And yes TJ would drive 100 to get to Ames to sign the contract

Vanderbilt just opened up. Seems like a bit of an ******* move by their AD.

You’ll remember Bryce was one of the guys we interviewed 4 years ago.

So CW is saying exactly the same thing I posted so you can all stop giving me crap now.
I don't know what you've been posting but I will say that Jeff Goodman is a complete goober. Not because of any tweet or rumor. "Body of work".

Uh, no. Just trying to derail the thread so we don't talk about our coach leaving.
