Way up there
I don't get why anyone is caught up on the being at a bar stuff. Cam had issues, we don't know all the details but from what we know, it's not a huge leap to assume they could have somewhat substance abuse related. That alone justifies a different set of rules for him regarding the bar/alcohol/etc... Pretending like Cam was just another college kid or even just another player makes no sense.

FWIW, Cam was my favorite player on the team the last two years. At this point, I'm bummed to see him go because I liked watching him play but not worried about how the impact it will have on the program.

Quite frankly he doesnt owe you, me or any other fan any explanations. It’s his program and he can set the rules/consequences.

And I’ll add he is probably doing a service by protecting the players image by not explaining every little thing.

I was about to write something similar, but you beat me to the punch.

I wonder how this will work for Cam since he's already used his redshirt? Is he looking at going JUCO for a year?

I can’t remember the details but this sounds like he wasn’t even suspended for being criminally in a bar. Team rules are team rules but the question is probably more along the lines of are the rules realistic. It would kind of tend towards my opinion that Prohm may have to high of moral rules for the program. This really gets to another question but this isn’t Sunday school. We should want respectable responsible student athletes but they are still college students.

Just like a child, each player has to earn the trust and the right to have more flexibility. Act like a child get treated like a child. Act like an adult then be treated as one.

Hold the guys accountable and all but also know they very young men that are finding their way through life. All the while probably trying to enjoy themselves during the process. Every path is different we can't expect everyone to be on the same one at all times.

CSP needs someone just like you to wear a sweater and take long walks with the players and help them with this special journey through life they are on. Deep thoughts....

I will say that I enjoy seeing people get pissed about it. it makes no sense that they feel entitled to the information and it makes no sense why I enjoy people whining about it.

It's interesting - my favorite things are to come on these boards after a win and enjoy (well we USED to ALL be able to enjoy success) the camaraderie and to come on these boards to spar with idiots.

Does it make me a troll if I do a drive-by post supporting our team and coaches?

I think if he transfers to another school, a place like Texas Southern or La Tech is a likely landing spot. However, I wonder if Matt A and St Johns go after him? Not sure NYC would be a great place for him, but I bet they reach out.
