And did anyone think Cael would turn a 2-time team national champ (1920s and 1950s) PSU into winners of 8 out of the last 9 team national championships?
Well, this is where Prom earns his money. Have some faith in him, recruiting is his biggest asset by far. Also, If you're constantly losing recruits to Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota in basketball that should be extremely alarmingThey are now a recruiting rival for any good Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Illinois HS kid.
Don't kid yourself, Hoiberg will be going after many of the same upper Midwest recruits that Prohm will.
It was bad enough battling Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois for these kids.
Oh, I would say the average Cyclone fan's awareness of Nebraska bball just "came to life" again. Like watching the Huskers on BTN every chance they get, and taking careful note of any rebuilding success.I'd be mad if he went to coach at an actual rival like Iowa or Kansas, or if this were 2009 and he went to Nebraska, but the whole Nebraska rivalry thing died like a decade ago.
Watch him become the next Cael.......
This is exactly what I am convinced will happen. This is why I posted that "unofficial standard for Prohm" thread. Compared to ISU, Nebraska has NO ytadition or history in basketball. Prohm should be able to be as successful here as Hoiberg is there, but I think Hoiberg will be much more successful there, and Prohm's supporters will make all sorts of excuses.
Are you really saying Hoiberg is as good of a basketball coach as Sanderson is a wrestling coach? Seriously? This is exactly what I am convinced will happen. He had four million reasons per year to like Nebraska. The rest is *********.
Yeah but Fred beat Iowa.Matt Campbell is the face of ISU. I wouldn’t want it any other way. If Hoiberg was here, that would hinder that. In fact, Nebraska can have the retired Hoiberg Jersey hanging in Hilton.

Buzz Williams left VT for TAMU a day after losing in the tournament. 90 percent (made up number but probably accurate) of college coaches have any loyalty to their current job. Always chasing the bigger paycheck.
