His senior year film is listed on Maxpreps as well, on the same feed. Night and day difference, this kid can play. Lights out shooter and enough handles and athletic ability to keep the defense honest. Check out his dunks starting around 1:48. Would be shocked if he left campus without an offer, but I guess we’ll see!
I like the little I've seen on this kid, the thought I can't shake is why TJ didn't touch base with him after he went to Vegas. Maybe UNLV is good on guards, maybe TJ didn't want to poach anyone from SDSU, who knows. I'd just be totally confident in the kid if TJ was still pursuing, although that would probably mean we might not have a shot. Sounds like they were close.

I think he's said that he wants to go to school somewhat close to home, or at least in the Midwest.
I've seen a video and a half of this kid and would take a commitment from him today. He can play.

Interesting. TJ probably knows Grill would like to stay in the MW considering and needed to prioritize keeping what he could at UNLV first to not reach out. .
I am impressed the staff identified and already got Grill onto campus within a week of TJ leaving and a few days once he was out of the LOI. Prohm must see a good amount of potential to move this quickly. Grill also must have a fair amount of interest to make Ames his first visit.
Maybe his dad was his high school coach.
I know this is a meme but honestly it is what we need. Remember when we used to hear stories about Georges, Matt, Monte and Naz in the gym every chance they could get? Where did those stories go the last couple years. And this team definitely needs more high IQ guys. So many dumb turnovers where we just throw the ball away or bounce it off our own foot.

We heard plenty of stories of Shayok in the gym all of the time.
Have to admit I was skeptical before watching his highlights. Surprised how athletic he is, definitely would like to see him as a cyclone
