It's called a joke. When all the transfers and freshman are gone, you get Jeff Beverly types. It's a little complicated and you have to have been a fan for a while.

Don't quit your day job. We all know the timing of the hire and what was left when Prohm was out there looking, but since you're a long time fan, I shouldn't have to explain that to you. Good day Pedro.

Opted out 2 years ago when I realized nobody ever changed anyone's mind with the name-calling garbage. Never been happier - but I COULD be if this board returned to like-minded Cyclone FANS following and supporting OUR teams.
You are on a site that started as a fire Wayne Morgan campaign.

Following and supporting teams isn’t measured or defined by one’s support of the current coach.

I get being patient. I'm OK with letting things play out and seeing how the roster looks in late May. Like you said, there's so many moving parts that it's impossible to know who's going to end up where.

But if Prohm can't land an impact grad transfer then we'll be pinning an awful lot of hope solely on returners making huge developmental leaps and unproven freshmen being Big 12-ready. How competitive the 19-20 team can be will depend heavily on what happens in the next few weeks.
We agree that it would be great to get some additional talent to step in and play next year. But, nothing is going to be certain. That has rarely been the case at ISU, yet we've had many successful seasons. It's not like we've ever been rolling in the McD's AAs. Definitely, a good number of questions going into next year, but that doesn't mean the sky is about to fall - I don't know if you're one who comes across that way, but there are a few running wildly.

Don't lump me in with that bunch! For the most part I'm bullish on the long term future of the program. But for next year I'm hoping Prohm is able to land some immediate help. It certainly wouldn't guarantee anything, but getting a wing who has proven that he can score and create would provide some much needed insurance.

spring recruiting season is the best. so much drama, and for a fan, its all just fun.

i mean, its just the financial futures of millionaire coaches and 1-5 years of kids lives, that's all.

i love the fact a kid no one has ever heard of, at a school most people don't even know, gets to choose between UNC, Notre Dame, and Michigan for his final year of bball. how cool is that!

Not too worried. The league is going to take some big steps backward next year (first time in quite a while) so we will not need quite as much talent to be competitive. Tyrese, Jacobson, Conditt are great pieces to build around. Nixon will likely not be as dynamic as Shayok but will be a solid starter. Don't forget about Solo, Griffin and Lewis will get their chances. And that's just what we have returning. We will struggle on paper but the team may be more cohesive both on- and off-court than this year. Whoever we pick up here is just gravy.

Not too much to ask, is it? Nothing 340+ other teams would want. And there's always plenty to choose from. Surprising we haven't landed one yet.
