He likely will.

@coreyevans_10 Virginia Tech big man Kerry Blackshear has placed his name into the transfer portal. Also assessing NBA chances this spring. Potential grad-transfer and would be best available to play next year

Understandable. Muddies the water some for schools interested in him but he's worth the risk.

This must be an incredibly stressful time of year for coaches. So many unknowns and variables.

true, though If Blackshear is interested in ISU (as one thread supposes) it would give Prohm the ability to hold a spot for him, Lindell, or even THT if any one of them doesn't get the positive feedback from the NBA scouts. Could actually work in ISU's favor, Prohm can wait while other programs fill their rosters and still get an impact player late.

Yeah, maybe. I don't know. The flip side of that is that by holding a spot for one of those three he maybe misses on someone else.

It's just an interesting thing to watch unfold as a fan. I'm thinking most coaches don't have the luxury of holding a spot for a player; if another player expresses interest it's a sort of "bird in the hand" scenario.

Former top 100 recruit

Baker can play. I watched his AAU team a few times. Don't let his numbers fool ya. He was stuck behind all of those one and dones. Ill never forget when he committed to Kentucky I was like WTF is he doing, he will never get in behind all of those lottery picks. I would take him in a second. He would be a perfect fit for a team like ours and become a good to great player for us.

He redshirted last year with an injury so cursious what his eligibility will be. Sit 1 play 2?

Pretty sure he is sit one play 2 at the least. Whomever tells these kids rated out of the top 50 to go to Kentucky is killing them. They will be recruited over, and will have to transfer. It's sad. Calipari is not really a developer of talent. He has not had to develop talent since he was at UMass. He is more a master of getting talent to play together.

West Virginia going to be Top 15 good next year.

If they land these kids. They are like us. I mean the visits are great and glad kids have interest. However, If they don't land the kids, they will be nowhere close. Not only that but if you add that many players, it takes a while to gel so if they make top 15 it would probably be the last month of the season. If they get the players.
