How long were you at the facility and how was your recovery? Im scheduled for 12:30 and I’m supposed to go to a wedding reception that night at 7.
They recommend you take a nap afterwards. After that isn't so bad but a 7pm reception is pushing it.

And be forewarned, they cut the flap at one station and do the correction at another station. Once they cut that flap you are blind so dont freak out. 100% normal.

I have astygmatism and squint a lot. I cannot physically hold my eye open for more than about 15 seconds at a time. Would this not work for me?

Yeah, I'd reschedule for a time when you have a good 24-48 hrs to chill at home. Yes, I could see with out my glasses but not anywhere close to good enough to watch TV, see my phone screen or read anything.

Not exactly sure.
Mine was done in the morning in the twin cities. I went to a hotel room afterwards and slept for a bit. Went to the MOA for supper that night and look around a little. Your timetable is something I would not do. I was a little skiddish about being around that many people and bumping my eyes.

Everything of mine was done in one chair, I can't imagine walking to a different chair to do it. They cut the flap in one eye and then corrected it, and then the other.

Good luck, you will enjoy it.

I don’t think you’re gonna want to go to the wedding reception. If it was the next day maybe but the first night for me was a little rough.

Thanks everyone. I am going to push it back a week, that would take it into the 4th of July week which I have off of work, that would actually work better... no computer screen time during that time compared to if I were to go to work.

I've been wanting to do this for 20 years, but yeah I'll admit it i'm scared of them messing something up. If I did go it would definitely be with Wolfe. I'd pay triple the cost if I had a guarantee that everything would go well, unfortunately not possible.

It is a game-changer. Had mine done 20-ish years ago and was the best optional surgery I've ever done.

What is the worst optional surgery you've had done???

Update

All went well. I got home about 5pm. When I left LasikPlus, I took a Tylenol PM in addition to the Valium. Ate 2 pieces of Papa’s taco pizza and crashed. Wife woke me up at 9pm for my eye drops and went back to sleep. Woke up at 3am and put a few more drops in. Woke up at 6:30 this morning and all seems well. Maybe I was lucky but I had minimal burning and itchyness. They did water a bit tho.

This morning my long distance vision is a solid 20/20. Up close is still a bit foggy but that’s to be expected and will improve over the next few days/weeks.

Overall, they were professional, answered all my questions, and was a positive experience. I would recommend them.

Total cost for reference and to help others thinking about it, was ~3175. It was 3600 but if you call the 1800 number, you can negotiate a bit with them, ask them for any specials, you’d like to use them but are a little high, etc.

For reference, I paid $4,000 about 20 years ago. I had instant success that only got more successier over the next few weeks.

Sadly I aged out of the success 7 years back and had to go back to glasses. Couldn't do a revision and the changes were just age related. Still I had a solid run with outstanding eye sight...
